We put an offer in on the fixer upper.

Someone else did too though, I don't consider it a real loss if we don't get it, especially if we just started looking at homes this past weekend. I am sure another home will come along if this one goes to someone else.

It's not a sin to do what you're giving up for lent.

To give up something for lent like symbolizes what Jesus gave up for us. I use it as an excuse not to eat junk food!

I was the same way when I got my car loan. I was really leery about it...but ultimately conceded that it would be very smart to have a newish car before I moved to the U.S. I still think it was a wise decision.

Yea I can see why buying a home would be a wise decision too.

It's exciting and scary... a soup of emotions.

It is a great investment, although apparently according to the finance minister of Canada you aren't supposed to think of it that way anymore. Pull up the country style chairs in the kitchen and have a seat in your 'family home'.

I was really hoping that John and I could buy a home soon, but we know that if we did, we'd make our lives even more money stressed.

I guess I'm impatient because I would like to start a family, but I would like to have my own home. This one just fits myself, John and the two cats. I guess we could do it, but someone or thing would have to go.....and John wouldn't be happy sleeping in the car :P:D:lol:
