OH MAN. I just remembered, I was watching the Ring back when I was 14 with some friends, and we just finished viewing the killer video on the screen...then my phone rang along with the phone in the movie. I screamed bloody murder. D:

How sad. :( Hearing something like that really does put our small difficulties in perspective.

Doesn't it?

Cool story for you all? Well, I have my Rogers account set to end for the end of February. I have a bundled package for cable/internet/cellphone and it's about 150$ a month. I pay it twice a month, halving it and I usually plop down an extra 5-10$ depending on if I made any long distance or texted my brains out or something.

So, I go to make my bi-monthly payment today and think, "hmmmm, I should check my last statement just in case...." so I do, and I realize that the balance owing on it says -109.00$ So, I call them when I get to work and the guy's like, "uh, yeah, we how you over a 100$ so if you don't go nuts on texting or make any long distance we owe that to you. We'll send you a cheque.

What a shocker. The guy also said, it's really rare to see someone chronically over pay their account. Um, yeah.

Anyway, I'd accidentally managed to sock away another 100$! Woohoo! not only that, but I have the payment I was going to make today as extra cash in mah pocket!

Just wanted to share my neat story du jour.

Cool beans, Froggie! I love overpaying things too... I did it (semi-inadvertently) with BC Hydro in my old apartment, and also had an extra $25 of tax taken off each paycheque at my last job. I'm REALLY hoping that the latter translates into a decent return for me...

I remember rogers did that for me!

I had like 400.00 in charges from a phone I got for Christmas and when I was talking to the guy about my charges he said: "Well since you didn't know about your plan because it was a gift, I'll credit that back to you"

Uhh thanks! :D

PS: I totally knew why I had 400.00 in charges, but I played the stupid card. :P

Oh SNAP, indeed!

Yeah, I usually overpay in taxes too -- I get my big job to take off more taxes than they need to counter-balance my two other jobs. That usually works. But this Rogers this was a COMPLETE Shocker.

Sprails, I have to back and read what you wrote, you got a 400$ credit for what now????

Seriously though, if you play rep's a certain way then they'll do about anything for you

It's true. Tell any Hampton Inn you weren't satisfied and get a free night.

Don't do it too often though they keep a list of the people who aren't satisfied in their system.

Oh snap not really. Wyatt can stfu. :D

Long distance calls to the states. Apparently the guy said that I could get a special plan for calls to the states and I told him: "Well I didn't know that! This phone was a gift!"

And he credited it all back to me and gave me a plan. :D

I don't watch scary movies, they scare me and I don't like being scared. Upon reading this thread, I think perhaps I need to drink more.

No scary movies for me either! Too many things in the real world scare me so it's just unfathomable for me to intentionally subject myself to fear and PAY for it!

Whoo hoo It's the same euphoric feeling I get when I get a tax refund! Then I burst my own bubble when I realize it was MY money that is being refunded.
