Lol That kinda stuff always creeps me out. Heck after seeing Pet Cemetary I had to jump into my bed for years for fear that a lil kid was under there waiting to slice my Achilles

Yeah! When I saw Pet Semetary as a teenager, it totally freaked me out. Then I saw it again near Halloween a couple of years ago and I just thought it was pretty lame. I hate it when that happens...when you re-see movies that you remember in a certain way and they just don't have the same effect. It was the same with Blair Witch. Freaked me out in theatres, but when I saw it again last Halloween, I was like, "whatever".

Yes!! Haha.

Oh but a sad thing about scary movies... I had to see a therapist after I saw the blair witch. I know it was a stupid movie, really. But something about it, I don't know what, something got into my head and I couldn't sleep, kept every light on in my apartment, was afraid of my own shadow for like a week afterwards.

So the therapist told me to watch it again and tell myself it was just a movie, so I did. Nope didn't work.

That movie also had an alright soundtrack, so I picked it up and couldn't listen to it because in between songs was outtakes from the movie also.

I can watch it nowadays and I'm fine but for years I was terrified.

I couldn't sleep for a week after I watched Saw, same thing happened when i watched the Cube movies. I can watch the Cube movies now and I don't get scared, but I don't watch the Saw movies, the clown freaks me out.

Wyatt, Varba and I watched Boondocks Saints a few months ago. We had to take a drink every time they said the F-word. We were plastered by the end of the movie.

Hahaha.

When Anna and I watched the Blade trilogy about a year ago, we vowed that if we ever watched it again, we'd take a shot for every time someone said "Daywalker". :P

John has told me that when he was in the Navy, his group would watch Dazed and Confused, and every time the kid with the long hair would touch his face, they would have to drink.

They were hammered by the end of the movie!

Ugh. Horror movies. Some I'm ok with, some I'm not. Jaws of course scared me!! But then I was only about 11 or 12 when that came out. I was 18 when I saw Poltergeist and had to sleep with the lights on all night!! My boyfriend took me to see that, and I spent most of the movie with my face in his shoulder! I was way too afraid to watch Carrie after my sister told me about it... (I have watched it now though) When you think of how computer graphics and special effects have changed over the years...those ones were actual done pretty good considering...

That happened to me when I watched Mask... you remember the movie about the guy with the deformed face? Cher was in it. It wasn't supposed to be funny either, but it was on tv when I got home from the bar one night and every time the deformed guy came on screen, I would laugh so hard it would hurt.

I watched that movie before and it wasn't funny, it was actually really sad.

That happened to me when my stepson and I were watching Dancer in the Dark with Bjork. That movie was so bad we were howling and cracking jokes. We finally had to turn it off after 45 minutes. We couldn't take it anymore! LOL

Scary movies make me cry. :crying:

My first date with this one guy.... he took me to see Poltergeist. He told me, afterwards, that it was because it was scary he was hoping I would cling to him. That didn't last long.

Heh. I really like Lars von Trier as a director and writer, but I haven't seen that movie yet. I may never...

Good morning all!

I don't watch scary movies, they scare me and I don't like being scared. Upon reading this thread, I think perhaps I need to drink more.

Lol I heard a saying once, "A bottle a day keeps reality away". Well that's a bit too much, I believe some hobo vodka could even get me to watch Encino Man again and enjoy it haha :)

after I watched the Ring I had to sleep with the lights on for a week...

OH MAN. I just remembered, I was watching the Ring back when I was 14 with some friends, and we just finished viewing the killer video on the screen...then my phone rang along with the phone in the movie. I screamed bloody murder. D:

How sad. :( Hearing something like that really does put our small difficulties in perspective.
