Good morning. Congratulations on the GC Joyce! A fishing rod AND roses! Wow, you lucky girl. Enjoy!

Hope everyone stays warm today and has less shoveling.

coffee_morning.jpg

Thanks for the coffee!!

I love teasing everyone that Tim gave me a fishing rod. They look at him like, "c'mon..what did you really get her?" The funny thing is, I LOVE fishing. ( West Coast BC girl here ) so I'm very happy!! But yes, his romantic side sent me a dozen roses..

No shoveling here! Today, blue sky and sunshine!

Good morning everyone! * yawn* puppy usually doesn't wake me up this early! 6:30 am he was scratching at the bed! Usually he's good for another hour!

Update on the job situation.... I am set up to start march 1st at a place for youth. Got 2 phone calla yesterday for 2 other jobs I applied for, 1 a denial they chose someone else and 1 an offer for a position working with adults. So I have a few phone calla to make... To accept the one offered yesterday and decline the other i am set up to start. Needed a day to think about pros and cons because of pay, commute and different type of hours..

I should be in trainig as early as next Tuesday! Now just have to rush to get all the preemployment tests done... Yay.... Another drug test....

Cool minnew! Exciting that you'll be working soon

I still haven't got too much. Tim's been sick so hard to get out and drop of applications and such. That will change soon when I get my GC though! I'll be able to get me DL finally.

I'm jealous. I really am. ENJOY IT EH? :D

We will. Ethan has his outfit picked out and everything.

He tells me that anytime he has a bad day he just tells himself: "I'm going to see Tegan and Sara" and he gets excited.

I love that he loves them.

I remember when I first moved down here and they were playing so I decided to bring Ethan, and he did not want to go because it was two girls, he was a boy. But as soon as they started playing, and joking around about Canada, he fell in love. :D

Now he's a fan.

I've got to get more Tegan and Sara. I still only have So Jealous.

I'm planning on going to my favorite CD store in Vancouver (Zulu Records) and doing a CD binge after my interview but before my cross-continent drive. I'll be sure to get something else by T&S then!

By the way...anyone picked up Massive Attack's Heligoland yet? I bought it when it came out yesterday (like...ten minutes after the store opened :P) but only managed to listen to the first four tracks in my car. I'm making a point of going for a drive just to hear the rest of them today! The first track is TOTALLY like a TV on the Radio song...mainly because it's also sung by Tunde Adebimpe. Track four blew my mind. The second and third tracks were so so. I'll probably post more of a report later today. ;)

Congrats on the Green Card Joyce :)

Congrats on the job Minnew!

Thanks for the lovely coffee Carla!

So last night before Varba and I went to bed, they showed the radar snow map for virginia/maryland/pennsylvania... Nice big blue circle, then big pink circle then ONLY in Lancaster county, a white circle indicating we're getting the most snow, with probably over 2 feet... /sigh

Varba came to the conclusion this morning that it doesn't snow much in Canada, it just snows wherever I am.. which I am starting to believe.

You're welcome and good luck! Am going to PM you with a few others...

Same here. Just waiting for either the tree in my front yard to come crashing through our front windows or the power to go out. :help:

Scott, you want to come over and shovel my walk as well?

Thank you Peachy!

Hahahaha! My husband says the same thing. He's not from NE but he keeps hearing that NE never gets this much snow! Ever! It has been a wicked winter so far!

He also says that it's the "canadians" ie. My relatives that brought down the snow with them for our early October wedding! Apparently it's never snowed THAT EARLY in NE! LoL! Made for some pretty pictures outdoors though!
