Do nothing.

Don't pay anything.

Keep the card as a souvenir, but also keep your airline ticket.

If you guys ever decide to move back to the US, file a new DCF in Holland.

When i said 'i dont wish to abandon it' i meant, i am not trying to just up and leave. Abandon the GC. I was clear in that i 'had no intent of coming back'

Either way, i found my answer.

Glad to hear that you got answers, although myself and others might have started steering you in the wrong direction. In general, the types of questions people ask are about maintaining their residency and our minds are set to answering question that would address ways to help maintain residency. Therefore, this case was different and got us all scrambled. That's ok as long as you got your answer.

I would send it of when you get back to Holland.

I would not delay, there may well be tax advantages. Until you leave you need it to remain in status.
