Where did the week go? I almost typed "Tuesday" up there. WAKE UP, JEAN! (gad)

Well what a flurry of activity this month has seen, eh? I was pondering this yesterday... It's been an incredible month in our little corner of the VJ world. That makes me think next month will be even better for all those waiting for news.

I will take a 2 week hiatus from my frothing and foaming. I don't mean I'm leaving VJ, I just mean I'm going to stop worrying and screeching and terrorizing for the next 2 weeks (heh... yes Mohammed, I'm saying "enshaa Allah" stop reminding me). Then I can start up again wondering when the decision will come on Moh's visa and most likely start all that nonsense up again. Don't worry, I'll set out warning cones this time... maybe even with little flashing yellow lights.

Guys it's just crazy! One little bit of hope tossed out by the Embassy like so much as a crumb, and I can feel a relaxation coming on that feels WEIRD! I realized last night that I haven't relaxed since I left Egypt well over a year ago. Every day has been a fight on some level to regain what I cherish most. I feel like "Jean" again. I went to bed last night and I SLEPT. The alarm went off this morning and I just stared at it wondering why this little silver box with the glowing numbers was shrieking at me because I didn't do anything to it! Then I stumbled out of bed, staggered around in a little circle and remembered what the lamp was for. Sad but true story. I still can't feel my face.

The other thing, I heard hope in Mohammed's voice last night. I realized he has not believed he would get his visa. In Egypt its like a sport for everyone to say "Oh, you'll never get a visa to America... you're just dreaming." They were doing it to him when I was there so he has never held a lot of hope. Last night he was laughing and that's music to my ears. He stopped himself once and said "Aaaaagh... I'm dreaming... just dreaming." I told him DREAM, LAUGH, SING tonight. It doesn't matter what comes tomorrow, the misery has gotten us nothing but troubles and solved nothing at all. I want to enjoy this glow for a short time before the worries crash in again.

I have to admit, I have some deep terrors about POE now. Waiting for the call to hear he's made it through US Customs is going to be the absolutely worst part of this whole thing. BUT... no need to go there now. Just waiting for that visa in hand.

I talk too much... :hehe:

I can't wait till our boys can say IN YOUR FACE to these people. Khallid hears the same thing every day. It's been 4 working days in the embassy now. Six working days to go??? Please, please! Less would be better though! I'm so glad this week is almost over, means we are just a little closer to touching are men again.

Work is pretry crazy these days. Guess that's what I get for being an allergy nurse eh? I've heard enough sneezing, coughing and snorting to last me a lifetime! LOL

Hope everyone has a great day!

Geesh, its my break time already! The morning is flying. Amy, believe me, Mohammed asks about you guys every day. I think he's hanging all his hope on Khallid getting his visa. When he does, then Mohammed will let himself believe it might happen for him too.

All I've been doing is sneezing too. I REALLY worry how poor Mohammed's nose will handle all this lovely Ohio Valley pollen. It's been said this area I live in, while beautifully green and lush, is the absolutely worst place in the country for allergies. He's going to have a battle I think.

I'm so happy to be able to actually worry about (almost). *Squeals!!!*......

Well ok, maybe I shouldn't get this revved up... still have a way to go if Washington says "nope, more checks please". (Please Mr. Washington DC... no more checks please, no RFEs and please don't send it back... just give the poor man his visa. He's paid for it with his own tears...)

Blah... can you say roller coaster ride?

You know how I said my stress is slowly melting away? My back has been CRACKING all up and down my spine all morning. It's making me laugh. I've never experienced this before. By tomorrow I will probably be nothing but a formless puddle on the floor... just don't step in me.

Amy and Jean, you guys deserve to get good news soon. I so hope you are next. I am praying for you, my friends.

I am finally moved, Alhamdulillah. I am exausted. You cant even walk in the house. I've got to start arranging furniture and emptying boxes. Still dont know when Hachemi is coming. He is hoping to have the money for the ticket by the end of the week. He begged me to come back to Algeria this past March. I told him if i come, I will be spending the money I had for his ticket. He said come, I will worry about the ticket to the USA. So it is up to him now. His brothers that are doctors promised to help him and his friends. Hopefully he will be here soon. His brother Foudil is having an engagement party Thursday so all the family will be home. Hope everyone has a good day.

I laughed so hard when I read this! I think all animals are cute (except for rats), but I guess it's the wet fur and the reflection of the eyes combined that make the cat look weirder than it probably is. It's probably cute in real life.

Hope everyone is having a good day! We're going to pick up Amed's tux (yay!) that he's buying for our wedding, and to get a present for my friend's lingerie shower this weekend. I feel weird buying lingerie for another girl. I might get her some cute pj's or something.

For those of you whose loved ones are coming in on a k-1, or who have come in on a k-1, are y'all having a big wedding here in the U.S.? I know it was hard for us to plan because we had no idea when Amed's visa would be approved, so we set things up wayy out into the future. We had to have the civil stuff done in May because of the AOS/visa regulations, but we're not having our ceremony till November. I'm always interested in seeing how everyone else handled this.

We didn't want to have to give up having a wedding just because of the uncertainty of this process. I think all of us who have to go through this deserve to celebrate our unions because it's been, in most cases, a long time coming.

Sorry, I have wedding planning fever on the brain lately. I hope all of you are able to have the celebration of your dreams with your fiances/husbands very soon!

We plan to quietly go to the mosque and then enjoy a nice dinner with family. Ok, so it won't impress the pants off them at the AOS, but we don't want a big shin dig. We're both tired of feeling like we've sold our souls to this process, so we will keep it the way we want it, but we'll get lots of pics.

The plans are all pretty much laid out and have been for several months. All things we can act on in the matter of a week or two. Just thank GOD I found my dress. (I was sweating that. I wouldn't even allow myself to look until a few nights back.)

Icey, what's all that poking & prodding for? being nosy, yes, but hey.... :P

I thought since so much good news was going around, I'd peek at uscis's website... lo & behold... another touch today!!! whee... kinda exciting since we haven't been touched since that flurry the first week of July. I tried to call Said, he's sleeping - so I sent him an sms. He'll get it in the morning :D
