Nevada brothel gets OK to hire first male prostitutes

A Nevada brothel has gotten the green light to be the first to add a new red-light special to its sex "menu": male prostitutes.

Officials in Nye County, where prostitution is legal, gave the go-ahead yesterday for the Shady Lady Ranch to hire the first legal male sex workers.

Owner Bobbi Davis is looking for "a few good men" to work at her high-desert brothel, about 150 miles northwest of Las Vegas, where an hour costs $300, condoms are a must and workers get regular blood tests.

The criteria?

"Between 21 and 40."

"Have a Good Work Ethic."

"Must be Service Oriented."

"Have a Willingness to Please."

"Have a Positive Attitude."

"I personally feel, as do the many other women who have made contact with me since I started this, that this is a service whose time has come," Davis said in a letter to county officials.

Here's some more info. Quote from the article: "They hope to cater to women, not gay men, but if a man asks to see an all-male lineup, they can't exactly discriminate."

It seems the hang-ups were the asymmetry of STD risks. That is, male customers of a brothel can be easily inspected for STD's and washed.

In any case, this seems like a horrible job. Anyone who thinks otherwise should imagine want a woman who can't get sex for free looks like.

Not an STD expert; but I don't believe this is entirely true.

And, I don't think it's all about looks. I've seen some pretty hot guys, nicely dressed, and driving nice cars pick up the ####### of the neighborhood I used to work in for some. She was a skank. It's got to be more.
