You can get an find the average number of days from NVC to Consulate using the timelines page to get a feel for how long it typically takes. With that being said, those numbers are gathered from users, like yourself, that update their timelines. So, if you have a timeline, help out the other users to obtain information such as this by updating yours.

No one will be able to answer your question accurately as timelines (which you apparently do NOT have) seem to be all over the place at the moment. Has the NVC received your petition? Have you received your NOA2? If you have answered yes to those questions then maybe you should call the NVC.

Why is it so difficult to fill out a timeline? I'm a pretty new member and even I know that the timelines help everyone. IMO, if you don't fill out your timeline you're just being lazy and selfish and don't deserve answers to 'how long does...' questions.

So daisy, IIRC your fiancee has a timeline so you don't want to fill out your own. I don't see how the two are related but if you're too lazy to fill out your timeline in this profile why not just use his instead? Problem solved.

Regardless of whether Daisy annoys other members or not, or how timelines help others; it is NOT required that she or any other member do so. Nor is a timeline necessary to answer this particular question. The harping on about timelines to Daisy is just as annoying. Members have many reasons why they do not complete timelines.

Once you have an approved petition and it is sent to the NVC, it is generally only a short pit stop to be assigned a case number before being forwarded to the consulate post.....2-3 weeks on average. Can be shorter, can be longer. However if one gets a name hit or there is a security issue, just as with the service centers, petitions can be held up quite some time.

Hi Daisy!

I'd recommend checking out the K1 Visa flowchart (HERE). On the lefthand side, there are approximate averages for times between steps. And if you scroll down a bit, you can see that it takes between 1-4 weeks, and once it's shipped, it normally arives within 3-5 days. 5-7 days after NVC sends your packet, you can feel free to contact the consulate to see if they have received your case yet.

dont understand why every9ne is so hung up on timelines. What valuable piece of information are they going to provide to you, or your case. I dont have one, nor do I ever intend to supply one.

I can't believe I'm going to defend her, BUT...

The timelines are really not all that helpful right now because of the madness caused by the IMBRA law. Mine used to say that I'd be approved by August 25th.
