And yet another bad day..............

After getting in trouble with the Atlanta INS when I got here on Feb 2nd,we thought we"d be better off waiting to file the I 129,then we HAD to buy a car because we couldn't afford to have Jims truck fixed, yesterday he's been told that his co workers wife dont like him and therefor he must move out of their house within the next three weeks. So now he has to get an apartment to stay at.

Which is going to put even more pressure on the finaces. We thought we could save up about 1500$ within 6 months now that seems impossible.

And as if it wasn't enough-

I can't even fill our papers out and at least get everything ready to be send by the end of next month because my lazy man doesn't order his BC from Minnesota nor does he want to call his father or sister to gather the info we need for his G 325a...................

He keeps telling me he loves me to death and doesn't want me to go back to Germany next week, but yet he just can't get off his a** to get the info so I can do the paperwork...................................

I feel so darn helpless!!!!!!!!! Once I get on that plane next week he will go back to being depressed and nothing's gonna get done.

Yet he doesn't want me to call his father so I could get the info together.(They haven't been on spaeking terms in years)

What in the world can I do!?

Someone out there gimme a clue please....

Smack him in the head and tell him if he doesn't start to get sh*t done, then you won't be able to come back ever. If he really loves you, hearing that should give him a spark.

Or you could call his father for him. Try and get in good with the family, you know?

And final suggestion, get him some Red Bull. Lots of it. Get him addicted to it, so then he won't be so lazy. Maybe some Starbucks too. Of course, this will cost some money.

As for his living arrangements, any other friends he can crash with for a month or so? My buddy once stayed at my two friend's place, and he slept on their couch. Not comfy, but necessary.

I love my job.

Hi Natasha,

There is not much I can tell you but the one important advice I can give you is that this process, like a relationship has too be two ways. You guys are not going to get anywhere like this. I believe you need to sit down with him and both of you have to talk and listen. If he is not willing to do things for his relationship then I am sorry to say but you have to move on. :(

Good luck,

sounds like you have a bit of difficulty here. regarding the birth certificate - he might be able to request such with a check or money order, proof of id, all in a letter - he should contact minnesota to find out how such can be done if at all.

also, whether he likes it or not, he's gonna have to contact his family to gather the info for the 325a. it sounds like you are running out of time and he's being stubborn. as far as the g-325a for you, get it done and signed. double check all the entries on it against the examples here and make sure it's the current form. after you leave, the ball is in his court.

i do also wonder if he's perhaps depressed right now, maybe that is why he's not motivated?

i wish i could offer you some better advice, but it sounds like there is an issue between him and his father/sister. one that needs to be resolved soonest so the paperwork can be filed asap.

I would be concerned that he is not willing to help you get the paperwork involved.

Most states you can go to the Health Department and the vital records are located in the same building. You can pay a fee and if you have the information for the applicant you can have a copy of the record in the long form raised seal. Cost is not too much. Good luck.

Sorry about your day, Nat... Sounds like there's a lot going on here. If Jim does not agree to step up and take ownership of this process, how does that reflect on his true commitment to you? I would tell him how his lack of attention to the details is making you feel and draw a line in the sand. He's supposed to be sponsoring you... he should be in charge of this process.

There have to be other ways to get his G325A data... aunts or uncles, perhaps?

But there's something behind his laziness, and I would get to the bottom of that first. And... this is also an indicator of what your life with him might be like. Does he take control in other areas? Are you willing to accept being in the driver's seat all of the time??? Think about all of that and then decide how you want to move forward....

Good luck.
