i submitted my k1 forms in full and copies of everything about how we met threw a marriage site. I went to visit her in her home country and got engaged but did not submit proof ( tickets, photos etc ) of us meeting only put the dates down in the cover letter. Will this be a issue for evidence? IF they ask me for more evidence how much will it delay it.

Please help.. i am worried now :(

Primary evidence such as tickets, itinerary and passport stamps are very important. Photo's are secondary evidence but also impt because it shows you two together at some stage. These two are the proof you need, and it's PROOF of actually meeting (within 2 years of application) that is VERY important. It's highly likely (in fact almost guaranteed) that you will get an RFE to submit proof of having met. Anyone can write a date down and that's why they ask for evidence.

It might slow down the process by about a month or so. Depends how long it takes for you to send in the information, and how long it takes for them to get back to your case. Start getting the proof together now in anticipation of the RFE so that you can mail it out as soon as you receive it. It doesn't mean denial though, just will take a little while longer. DO NOT send in anything now as it will be hard to put that information together with the paperwork you have already sent. It will be okay.

Good luck.

They might not cash the check and accept the packet.

This is roughly similar to submitting your 1040 without your W-2.

It might not be the end of the world if they just sent it all back or did an intent to deny, might end up quicker than the inevitable RFE. You will get an RFE for sure if they do accept the packet. It still isn't the end of the world either way, just a little more time. It will likely still be done within the 5 months you probably originally thought it would take when you started looking into this process.

Best of luck to you, hope it works out in the quickest way possible for you.

USCIS will not deny, they'll give you a second chance (RFE) should they need any more info from you..

It is fairly rare, but sometimes they will return the fee and entire packet. It even says on the form itself "Improperly filed forms will be rejected, and the fee returned, with instructions to resubmit the entire filing using the current form instructions." This lack of proof of meeting may be "improper" enough, but I doubt it. It likely would end up faster if they did that though.

I've also seen a couple of cases where people received an "intent to deny" because of insufficient evidence or a gross error on the form(s) (or an IMBRA violation but that's another can of worms entirely). Then you can fulfill the requirement made clear by the intent to deny and presumably they continue on with the process at that point, if you're able to show you do/ can meet the requirements of the form. It's a bit different than an RFE in how it is handled, and I BELIEVE, and I may be wrong here, that is likely to happen sooner in the process.

Here's one similar example, although the member didn't do a timeline so I have no idea how far along in the process they were at this point:
