dang! really? then i need to file also! but from what i understand the IO told me to file for 10 yr GC 90 days before the 2nd yr anniversary of my arrival here not my wedding anniv

From what i understand, you have to file within 90 days before the expiration date on your permanent residence card (green card)...

DianneWalgreens, I was looking at your time line and you received your green card 6/29/2009. My 2 yr conditional GC expires 11/18, 2010 since i got it Nov 18, 2008... then that means i will have to file my GC from between aug 21-nov 18, 2010. But I will probably send out my packet aug 25 this year to be sure.

If you both got your greencard second quarter and onwards of 2009, you probably have to remove conditions in 2011....

Am i right?

YES, i just looked at my passport stamp it says it will expire may 4, 2011 that means i have to file for removing of condition 90 days before may 4, 2011 since i got here may 5, 2009 and from what i understand again the stamp on your passport @ POE serves as your GC when you got here

No. your passport stamp does not matter with ROC. The ONLY date that matters here is the expiration date on your GREEN CARD!!

Use that date to determine when the 90 time limit starts!

I understand they are different...

But...

Filing for Removal of Conditions is the same is it not? Unless a CR1/IR1 does not need to remove conditions???

As far as the POE saying "that since i dont have GC yet that stamp serves as my GC" may be true... I would think that once you actually got a GC, the date on the GC would over rule any other date....

CR1 entry (C = Conditional) needs ROC

IR1 does not need ROC

the stamp date on my passport and my GC EXPIRATION DATE is just the same what im just trying to explain earlier on my post was i look at my passport stamp first before i look my GC

Should NOT be the same... Passport stamp should have been 1 year expiration after entry and physical GC should expire two years after entry

YMMV
