USA Embassy in UK question

Good evening everyone! I have found this website to be extremely helpful in the K-1 visa process, so I am hoping I can get some guidance from anyone who has dealt with the American Embassy in the UK.

We got great news today that all our paperwork arrived at the embassy from the states, but when I was reading their website something was a bit unclear to me. I found all the forms that are required, but they don't mention the I-134 form. I would assume I should still complete this to be safe correct? Also, when they list that they want the 156 and 157 in duplicate, how many copies should I provide?

Finally, there was a statement that confused me on their website:

"Do NOT send any documents to the Embassy with these forms. The documents must be presented to the consular officer on the day of the visa interview. The completed forms should be mailed to: The Immigrant Visa Unit, 5 Upper Grosvenor Street, London W1A 2JB."

So do I send all the forms in when completed or do I hold onto them and just send the checklist letter in that we are ready for the interview? I was confused about the part where it says do not send the documents because you need to present them, but then it says to mail the completed forms.

Sorry for the questions, but any guidance would be greatly appreciated. :) Thank you in advance!

Michelle and James

Come join us in the UK forum for all the UK specific answers...

Briefly, send all the DS forms off along with the checklist, assuming that you'll be able to get your police record and long form of the birth certificate (which you don't send to them; you bring it at the interview along with the affidavit of support) in time for the interview (and you should be since it's been taking awhile for London to process P3 docs and schedule interviews...
