We paid 455 dollars to begin the petition for the K1, but what other costs will there be, I am in the process of filling and sending the DS forms and gathering evidence and police cert etc. How much is the actual visa? Any other processing fees to be paid to the Embassy?

also, the k1 visa is an immigrant visa correct? Just that some of the DS forms have non immigrant on them dont they...?

Technically, a K-1 is a non-immigrant visa, but it allows you to adjust status to a permanent resident.

you have to pay for her to get the police certificates and her medical exam about $240 and the visa fee about $150 and possibly a border crossing fee, not too sure about that one, I'm sure there are some fees that they will come up with so expect another $100 just in case

then you got the fees again when she gets here, almost $2000, plus the cost of your wedding and her plane ticket

plus they are going to raise the fees so if you are just starting, you might get the new fees
