We had our civil wedding ceremony in the US last week and we're now putting together documents needed to file for AOS and Advance Parole, hopefully we will be able to file it next week. We're traveling to the Philippines in May for our church wedding. I read somewhere that I don't need to change my old passport (it's valid until 2013) but I would like to know what other documents I would need to bring with me aside of course from the advance parole.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Since your passport is in your maiden name I would suggest taking a copy of your MC along just in case. You most likely will not encounter any problems.

And don't forget to take lots of chocolates. :D

Do NOT leave the country until you have your Advance Parole approved.

Hi! We have the same case. :)

I have questions about the passport. (Mine will expire on 2014.) Does that mean I can use it with my maiden name when I travel to the Philippines and go back to the USA with no problem? When is the right time to change my passport and name?

Thanks in advance!

I believe you're supposed to purchase your ticket with the name exactly as it appears on your passport. If you purchased it in your married name, just present your marriage certificate and if you have any other identification aside from your passport that's in your married name, bring that too :)
