DS-230 question

Hello,

Wondering if anyone can answer this question for me. On the DS-230 part 1 question 30 it says:

"List below all places you have lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16, including places in your country of nationality"

Okay, here's our issue. I know they don't like blank unaccounted for places. From May 2008-September 2008 we were living in Italy. On the I-130 we will include our Italian address as we lived together at this address and we are going to use mail evidence of us living together for proof of continuing relationship. Anyway, on the DS it says to include addresses that you lived at for at least 6 months. Well, we didn't live in Italy for 6 months, so on this form I shouldn't include that address. However, we left London in May 2008 and he didn't move back to his present address until September 2008. That's a 4 month break that for sure they will want to be accounted for.

So my question: Should I go ahead and include the Italian address here even though we didn't live there for 6 months, or should I just write "traveling" for that period of time?

Second question, question 31a says:

"Persons named in 14 and 29 who will accompany you to the US now" (14 is spouse and 29 is children)

Should I list myself as the USC spouse? Yes I will accompany him to the US; however, I am not included in this visa petition as one that needs a visa...so I think I should leave it blank? What do you think?

Thanks!

If you were still travelling - your address in Italy was still your "home" address. (think of it as a vacation)

Whatever you have in 14/29 - you would fill out the corresponding questions (now/later) (your listed on 14 - right?)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Yeah, I'm listed on 14 as his wife. So I put myself (as the American) as the person that will accompany him to the US?

And yeah, the address in Italy was our home for 4 months....but not 6...which is why I am confused. I don't want them to think we need to supply a police certificate from Italy because we definitely didn't plan on getting one!

Don't think you should put your name in the part "how's accompanying you"....

This is for people who is applying for the child as well.

Just leave it blank.

About the Italy thing, I don't know what to say.... sorry.
