dcf manila philippines #?

hi everyone........ today i tried calling the dcf in manila philippines to try and set up an appointment to go and talk to them about some questions i have..... but when i dialed the phone number that i got off the website (63-2-301-2000 ext. 2246/2567.............. although never had opportunity to dial extension, cuz error message came first ), it just says 'sorry this call is not permitted.' i live here in manila, and called using my cell phone here, so i don't know what the problem why it's saying that, especially since i got the number from the website. can anyone with knowledge of the embassy/dcf in manila philippines please help me out on this? thank u for any help

I believe you need to pay for a password or something to ring the US embassy in Manila. Maybe post this in the regional/ Philippines forum.

If you are a US Citizen and live in Manila... I think you can just go to the Embassy. Make sure to leave your electronics at home. You can get access to information and probably forms while there. I know if you file for the Capacity to Contract Marriage... You get access to a consular officer in short order. Might want to just fill out the I-130 and required docs and take with you... Along with the funds. You can probably just file them while you are there.

Perhaps, someone has personal DCF experiance with Manila... Might want to review the Timelines looking for DCF and Manila and send a personal message to those folks.

you can't use your cell phone to call, you have to call from a landline, you have to pay per minute to call and make an appointment. Good luck

you don't dial "63" that is the country code, your already in the country just dial the number like you would normally as above
