US connecting flight

hey all!

is there a time limit when you have a connecting flight in the US? i read it somewhere that you need to be on your connecting flight within 2 hours of arrival in US soil.. is this true? :help::help::help::help::help:

I have never heard that. I would think you would want about a 3 hour layover at your POE so you can clear immigration and customs. Once you clear immigration, there is no timelimit that I am aware of. I think you would want a minimum of 2 hours at your POE. Maybe that is what you are talking about?

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

As above. Airlines sometimes have minimum connection times - and it is usually 2 hours.

The minimum connection times vary by airline and airport. They're set individually per airport, and are often different from airline to airline. For international->domestic connections in major U.S. airports, the minimum connection time is typically between an hour and an hour and a half. Any connection on a ticket booked directly through an airline will be a legal connection, and if you end up missing your flight due to delays, they're obligated to accommodate you on a later flight.

It truly must be with the help of divine intervention that after entering into this well-defined bureaucratic process, we were blessed with the expected outcome within the predefined timeline. Praise deities!

08-27-09 - Packet 3 received.

10-03-09 - Packet 4 received.

10-08-09 - Interview date - Approved. (Visa in hand 10-16-09)

02-03-10 - Date of entry.
