Me and my fiancee are somewhere between the NOA1 and NOA2 for a K1 visa. I am trying to make sure we know everything we need to do so we are prepared for everything once we get the NOA2. One of the things that has me concerned is the medical examination. She is current with all of the vaccines, but she does not have the proof that she received them. What happens during the medical exam if she cannot obtain proof of the vaccinations? I understand that she does not need them until we apply for AOS as she will enter on a K1, but I don't know what her requirement will be. Will she need to get the vaccines again?

She will need the vaccination record for the K1 interview and then for AOS.

Tell her to talk to the doctor and see which ones she will need to get again.

If she can't find her old vaccination record there are some that she'll have to redo, and some of them are 3 doses. I'd go to a doctor and see which ones she should take and start taking them now, so that maybe she'll have less vaccines to take in the US prior to filing the AOS.

I tried getting my vaccines updated before I left Brasil, since over there vaccines are given free of charge at public clinics, I still had three 3rd dose shots to be taken here and spent over $100 to get them done.

As stated, she will need to have vaccinations prior to leaving. She might not need to COMPLETE them, such in the cases where more than one shot is needed, however on arrival to the US she will need to continue with the immunisations and then provide proof of those further shots to be submitted when she applies for AOS.

Some people have undertaken blood tests to ascertain what their immunity is and so limit the number of shots they will eventually need. Whether she has had them or not, without proof, she is deemed to have NOT had them. It's best she sees her doctor and tries to obtain proof, whether it be medical history or a blood test. Or be prepared to pay for all of them all over again at the K1 medical.

Her doctor should, though, excuse her of the vaccines that are not age appropriate anymore, some child vaccines are not needed on an adult.
