NOA 1 not received

Hi all,

My wife filed an I-130 on 30th of June, 2006. From the return receipt it said that they have received it on the 6th of July but she hasn't received NOA 1 which supposedly comes within 10-15 days. What do you guyz say? She just now travelled back home to pay a visit and to attend some weddings. She can't make the call to the 800 number from over there as it does not connect. Even I tried calling the 800 number from over here in Canada but it didn't work out. How can we approach the CSC? Does it even worth it to go after them? I need to file I-129F but without the NOA1, I can't.

my wife andi are in the same position. we filed the I130 on june 28 and still no response.

1 (800) 375-5283.. this is the National Customer Service number.. call them up if you can.. do me a favor.. when you do get the NOA1.. just post it over here.. so that I would know that you have received it.. if I receive it first.. then i will post it over here.. so you would know that i have received it..

Yeah 800-375-5283 is correct. But they can only give you correct info once 30 days have passed since you mailed application. There have been many NOA1 delays so there's nothing to be too much concerened about. There is a long road ahead. Good Luck

I mailed in the I-130 for my wife on June 23rd to the TSC and have not received an NOA1 either. I guess we are all in the same boat.

I did see though that the check was cached yesterday by the CSC so I am expecting a NOA1 from the CSC within a couple days.

So its basically taking over a month to get an NOA1 from the consulate......probably because the case from TSC is being xfered to CSC .....

Now for the more important question, given that its taking a month to get the damn NOA1, would you people recommend also applying for K3? Dont point me to the pro/cons of the two,.....just looking for personal opinions.

As unpredictable as this immigration thing is, I am definitely going to apply.

Hopefully these NOA 1's come so we can move onto the next step

Do apply for K-3, its just $170. I mean, see, look at it from this way, immigration these days is quite unpredictable. You never know what will happen, so its better to fire in all directions. One would work out. I am waiting for NOA1 to apply for K-3. I have approval of H-1 as well. I would be going to the embassy for the visa too. Lets see what happens in that as well.

Good news guys, my I-130 NOA 1 finally came (one month after it was sent)

Thank God. Hopefully, everyone else gets theirs soon

Thank you all for the advice. My NOA1 for the I130 did come in last week. I did complete and mail in my K3 application also. Entering the waiting game for now..........
