InterView Appointment changed once again !!!

hi yall

ok now this is getting annoying

i had another interview app changing today they called me from us embassy in cairo and said because the consul wont attend the day of my interview i have to reschedule my appointment to tomorrow or a week after the day of my interview ! and already my fiance is comin 1 day earlier from the interview day i know it wont matter if she attend or not but thats not my point i mean i was ready for this day i was goin to interview and they changed my app date 2 times now i mean why they do that and why they r not considerate and why they pushed my interview another week i mean its not my fault if the consul wont be there at us embassy

i mean its their decision why they didnt move me to next day or day after ???

anyone have any suggestions plz ??

like should i demand to change appointment to a later day same week ??

i will be thankful for any tips or informations on what to do

I'm sorry you had to reschedule your interview again. It must be frustrating.

If your fiancee was going to come 1 day before your interview date (the one the embassy changed for the second time), why don't you have it changed for the day after so she can attend the interview with you (in case she's not staying in Cairo for more than a week).

My fiance was on the phone with a DOS representative yesterday and he told him that Cairo consulate is very busy at the moment.. I know it's hard to do at the moment, but just have patience, be calm, and prepare more for the interview.

Most Definitely ayah that everything happen for a reason

but the thing is they didnt gave me a choice with interview slots

like the lady on the fone she said either tomorrow as in tomorrow wednesday 6 of january or push the the date of interview a week later instead of 14 of jan they set it for 21 of jan i mean they gave me not a very good option when they said tomorrow since i live in luxor

i mean its not my fault mr consul is busy u know what i mean ayah so its very frustrating and my fiance already goin to stay 2 weeks but why they do that why its just not important to them what happen in people lives ?? they just swing right and left

so i want to know what is my options now should i email them or call them ?? and say why cant u make it 15 or 16 of jan instead of 14 since they can make room for me on 21 or 6 of jan why they cant help me out and dont push my app date a week?

what you think my options would be ?

Oh, I understand.

Well, just email them and say you would like to have your interview on Jan 15th or 16th since neither tomorrow or the 14th are suitable for you. I believe they aren't expecting you to attend tomorrow anyway since they informed you today... (Do you have an interview letter? Is your your old interview letter valid after your reschedule?).. I'd print the embassy's email to you and your reply to them and show it on the interview date.

From a personal experience, the embassy didn't really help when I requested that they schedule my interview on the second half of January for my fiance to be able to attend it with me since he could not make it to Egypt before that.. They basically ignored my request and their reply was informing me that my interview was scheduled on Dec. 13th. I was frustrated as well, but everything just went fine after.

I'd email the embassy asap and wait until they give me the answer I want.

I think email them and write the details of the two previous times they had to reschedule your interview like the dates and why they had to reschedule.. and then request to have your interview on the date you wish and see how it goes. Also, don't forget to ask if they should send you another interview letter since you will not be able to enter the embassy without one.

I am sorry that they keep changing your interview Hamdy! That would be very frustrating!! I am coming to Cairo for my husband's interview in February. He is in Luxor also

thanx alot and i hope ur husband interview also goes well

so the question now is there any other way to reschedule my interview beside emailing cos in the consular staff who reply to e mails

they dont say much just few words and they dont really can help in a good way they can provide little help

so anyway if there is a number to call what would be that number and who i would be callin

cos before when i tried to change my interview date everyone i called told me to e mail and see

so why it can only be changed thro e mail and not call center or consular office or etc

That's exactly what happened to me when I tried to schedule my interview to be in the second half on January.. I sent a nice polite email explaining why I wanted that and since I had waited a month for packet 3, I wanted at least that they approve my request or consider placing my request on any date from January 15th to January 31st.... 3 minutes later, yep 3 minutes later exactly I got an answer that my interview was scheduled to be on Dec. 13th...

I know it's annoying, but don't take it personally and don't let it bother you. They probably have so much more concerns when they schedule or reschedule people's interviews.. When you see the number of people at the immigrant visas section on your interview date, you'll know what I mean
