Hello,

I've just reunited with my fiance from Vietnam 2 weeks ago. We'll married this month. I was told to start the AOS right after. So when do I apply for her green card and obtain a SS card? Please advice?

Read the guides above - This one in paticular

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Submitting the AOS application IS applying for her greencard. If she is in the US now and has been here for about 10 days she can apply now for her SSN. She needs her I-94 and her passport to do so. You should apply for the AOS before the 90 days on her I-94 expire or she will be out of status. As Bobby Umit advised, read the guides for AOS and you will find many of the answers to your questions. If you still have any questions, you can certainly come back and ask them here or in the AOS forum.
