How long ago was the appointment??? They give you a few months to go before they consider the application abandoned. They should have also put on the appointment letter what days you can make it up if it is missed. I would definetley ask your lawyer to see the letter in person because all that information is on it.

My appointment was actually dated the 25th July on the letter that my lawyer copied to me which we had not printed off until today but in a conversation with him last week I was seeking his advice on if I could travel in case it came through and he said well you can go on vacation now on the 6th of August because your appointment is next Wednesday being as I understood it the 26th July...and he was even told that my wife could go with me to ensure I find it ok as she is off on Wednesdays...then we looked at the letter when we printed it off tonight and it appears I have missed it as it said it was the 25th July ...now we are worried because we cant contact my lawyer on what we should do...maybe if I went there tomorrow and explained all that they would still do it huh..?

Don't panic...

I missed my biometrics appointment by a few weeks (long story) but when the letter finally came to us, and I saw I missed it by a few weeks I completely freaked out.

After freaking out, my husband called a number that was on the appointment letter. We spoke to a guy, explained what happend and he said:

Send the letter back and ask to reschedule. Do it asap.

We asked him: But arent we going to be in trouble cuz the appointment was a few weeks ago?

He said: Don't worry about that, send the request to reschedule out now and you will be fine.

You will only be in trouble if we don't hear from you in months and months and that is not the case here.

And so we did as we were told, and all was fine, I got rescheduled and no harm done.

So take the notification letter and look for the box where you can request a reschedule. Thick the box and send the letter off. That is what we were told and that is what we did and we were fine.

I advise you though, to call your office and ask them what to do, okay?

Take care,

Beee

My husband's was today as well and on our letter it says that if it is missed you can go on any following Wednesday at the same time that todays was scheduled and that we have until October to do this until it is considered abandoned. So if I were you I would just go there tomorrow at whatever time today's was scheduled for and it should be fine!

THANKS GUYS FOR THE RESPONSES AND SUPPORT.

I went along today as you advised and the reception official noticed I was a day late but the uniformed officer sitting with him said that they were seeing everyone that came in today as it was not that busy.

A supervisor came over and she insisted I should reschedule but the other guy stood his ground and said the senior USCIS Officer of the day had given him a briefing that they would see everyone that came in today so I got lucky and my Bio's were all taken...so panic over..

Thanks again, y'know people on here should be very grateful for the way everyone rallies in support when they need them and all you guys should be proud of yourselves for passing on good info to people who need it.

God Bless you all and "Thank God for friends".
