My wife needs to get her passport changed over to our married name. She wants to vist home next Christmas and I have heard that tickets must now be purchased using her married name.

Her passport is still in her old name but the Green Card is in her married name.

I think getting everything matched up will make for fewer problems in the long run.

Where can I get a list of Filipino Embassy's here in the US...

I'm the wife of an American Soldier;

I'm the hope that lives within him after storm clouded days.

The freedom from war that gives wings to his heart,

May they reach across the miles and bind our hearts together

against all that we must face in this world.

Laughing .. it is not true that it has to be in her married name. It has to be in the same name as her passport.

But it is a good idea if you have that long, next X-mas to get it done.

Read read and reread what you have to take to the Philippine Embassy. There is a lot of documents they are asking for.

Chicago is one and San Fransisco is another place. But like the others said look them up on the web.

I retire Jan 29th and we are going to the philippines Febuary 15th and she will and can use her Passport name to fly.

Ok... Now I start getting panic too lol. Is this really gonna be a big issue or what ? Coz I think I'm having the same problem now... Me and hubby already have plan to visit my parents in Philippines by March.. I have my old name on my passport that gonna expire on 2012..... But my GreenCard is already under my married name. I mean, It supposed to be the GreenCard matter most right ? Or just bring your Married Certificate and Birth Certificate too..

We can re-new my passport even it still good within 2 years... It just I dont think we have enough time to do all that for now coz we both still kinda busy from work and other things that also important... ***Sigh***

Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
