Hello everyone in here,

I would like to find out if there is any chance for immigrants to get student aids (federal, grants, scholarships) with a temporary green card, in order to get an education degree. I am aware that it is working for those with permanent green card...how about temporary ones?

Anyone have any information/experience according to this topic?

Thank you

You cannot file for financial aid until you have a green card, and per your timeline, you are still adjusting your status.

Once you have your green card, even if it is the conditional (not temporary), you are eligible for financial aid.

Thank you for your quick reply,

I didn't realize that the green card we are granted after the approval of AOS is the actual conditional permanent resident card (I-551C) :bonk: required in order to apply for financial aid.

I know I can't apply now....but just informing myself for future reference..... I would really like to get my master degree sometimes soon
