I got an RFE for a silly mistake that I made on one of the forms....forgot to answer the question about whether I had ever been convicted of a crime. :wacko: Thankfully it was easy to fix! So now we are hoping that we will get an NOA2 soon. Can anyone give an estimate on the time between the NOA2 and when the actual interview will take place?

Thanks!

There is no estimated time anyone can give. It will all depend on how long it takes the NVC to send your paperwork to the embassy...and then how long it takes for your SO to get the packet3 and return it.

Each country is different and NVC works at different paces.. However, I would say that the 3-5 month timeline might be a good guess

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

Too many variables to say. NVC can take 2 days to 2 months. ALL petitions go through NVC, it does not matter what the standard letter from USCIS says (s0me say the petition has been sent to the consualte...it has not, it was sent to NVC)

Consulates vary on how long they take to process the petition after they receive it from NVC. We had our interview a little more than 3 months after the NOA2, but Kiev is a particularly fast consulate, you do not have to wait for packet 3 and you do not have to send it back.

It is not unusual to take longer from NOA2 to interview than you waited for the NOA2. The NOA2 is about "halfway" if you want to consider it that.

Look at timelines for Rio's Consulate to see what kind of pattern is there, if any.
