Ok all i have a lawyer who is great and thinks i am fine but i am paranoid.

My story:

Married in October 2006, received work authorization soon after.

Had biometrics then interview in December 2007 and got my greencard.

My wife, now my ex as of early December. I re submitted my application right before I had to a few weeks ago as I was waiting for my divorce to finalize. I got my letter for a year extension and have my biometrics at the end of January. I am assuming I will have another interview as I divorced within 2 years of my greencard even though we were married for over 3. We were married in college and really did not have much documentation in terms of joint mortgage or any of that but we were approved fairly easily as was obvious it was entered in good faith.

Now when is it likely I will have an interview if I am to have one? I know this is a very hard question and really how long is a piece of string right? I divorced her and won the case against her and actually divorced her on adultery charges which she admitted in an Affidavit.

Anyway I graduate from graduate school in july and was hoping to take a trip home but seems it is likely the interview, if I have one will be around about that time. My first one took around 9 months in New Orleans.

Whats the general process for this kind of thing as I do not read much on people divorcing within the two years.

Thanks,

MG

I've seen several threads here discussing the ROC with a waiver due to divorce. I think the written affidavit by your ex is a extremely important document. Although it sounds like you have a short list of evidence, but it is important to focus on providing any evidence that shows that your marriage was entered in good-faith. There was a thread about a person who got married right before she graduated and divorced right after she received her GC and still got approved for her ROC with an interview.

You can search the forums for threads related to divorce.... if I find those threads, I will post links here.
