maybe they got a rport from the concerned SHO ( station head officer) using their influence regarding mine and his stay in India, and also manipulated the marriage registrar to get me married to him by just signing a piece of paper, Believe me i am telling u all that i know and comprehend.

If you just wait until the date of your trip and when you get to the US you can run away?

I doubt you will get your Green Card in 3 months. You have to sign some papers for that. They can maybe manipulate the Indian authorities but they can't do anything about the GC process.

I think you will enter the US on your student visa and then maybe once you are there, the "husband" can apply for your adjustment of status. I would hold on to my documents when arriving in America and get the hell away from these people.

Good luck!!!

Okay my flight has been booked for 18th of Jan for New York, USA, my sister just came and told me that, what can i do in USA to save myself, coz i want to complete my study

If in case they do decide to marry me in the coming 2- 3 months, then i know i have to get my passport and belongings and run from there, can i report to the police and can they help me in getting my passport and my belongings from where they are so that i can fly off to my native country?

If suppose they didn't perform the marriage ceremony and i play along till i get a conditional PR can i divorce him after getting it or will i be deported back to my native country right after the divorce is finalized, or can i stay and work in US till the CPR time expires that is 2 years and then move back to my country, coz then this way I can complete my education and also fend for myself and be independent.

To fly to the US on Jan 18, you'll need your passport back. From there, you're safely on your own.

You cannot get a green card unless you legally marry this guy and you are both living in the US.

You have one other method available to you.

if you are still alive when you get off the plane in USA - get in touch with any CBP official, do not surrender your passport once you have it in your hands.

There is an Customs/Border Patrol Area with the Immigration area - any one of these officers can extricate you from those family members, retrieve your passport from them, get all yer luggage and belongings, laptop. So, if you can scream loud enough - you can absolutely get away from those 5 family members at a USA airport, inside of the Immigration / CBP area. But you have to do some work, you have to be diligent, you have to scream like a banshee.

But - expect to have big interview with USA officials, those 5 family members will be detained for private interviews also, and you might be held for up to a week, and ultimately, you would be sent back to Spain. Suggest you contact your buddies in Spain, the ones NOT connected to your family, and give them some heads up.

-----

Which brings me to another point - you DO have buddies in Spain, right? They can contact the police office in Spain, about this hostage situation, and if they are DILIGENT, the Embassy in India will know about it in the morning. DO an email blast now, see what happens.

Also, when you arrive to the US if your family take your passport again, you can run away and go to the Spanish Embassy and get another one.

Once you arrive in America, talk to someone at the airport, maybe a Federal officer can help you. Just run and find a officer, explain to them your situation. They maybe won't be able to help you with the documents, but probably will keep you away from your 5 family members.

no i am taking in all the advice but please understand my situation too, my family is a very influential family if they come to know about him they will have him killed for sure, my only option is too plead after reaching USA coz if i plead in India they will have me married and won't let me leave India, if i make a big commotion at the indian airport that will only lead to more problems for me coz India is most corrupt country and they will use everything in their power to make me stay here.

From all the searching and discussing these two look to be the best options out of it

1. After reaching USA and then if they try to marry me in US i can go to my embassy in new york, in India i can't go because of the reasons i have already told before

2. second option is that if they don't hold the religious marriage ceremony then i can play along till i get my CPR and then i will have rights and file for divorce later and stay in US independently complete my study and then move to my native country after my CPR 2 year period expires.

I would just scream at the USA airport and get the security officer to hear me. If they send you back to Spain, you can get in another plane and go back to America as you have a valid student visa.

influential family = pay money for thugs and violence, right?

Sorry, I'm bowing out. You have a few ways to extricate yourself now, from this post, but I'm surprised you didn't find that woman's coalition in India, that specializes in extricating would-be brides from forced marriages in India, prior to the marriage actually taking place.

Good Luck, however it turns out. Try to avoid killing yerself, when possible.

since you got no money at this moment I would try to do what others here said get your BF involved

or play theyr game till its time for departure

( like Bobby said Anyway - if this is true, then simply make a big commotion in the airport, go to the nearest guard and plead your case. They will not let you on the plane.)

once you get the guards attention you are able to open a whole new can of whip cream for your so called family

you can slam them with hostage , ID theft

( cose someone had to sign your signature for the so calld marriage to get registerd if your in deed married now )

also theft of a Gov doc ( your passport is not your property its gov property )

you can also tell them about your so called US husband if he is indeed your husband he also broke some rules participating in a immigration scam ,

and like others said you wont be getting your GC in 3 month it takes a lil while longer

and you would have to follow steps before the interview ,

it would have required your signature to aply for GC

and you didnt say anywhere that you signed any immigration docs

Thank you for understanding why i wanna get back to US first, coz in India they can do anything,

How can i return to US to complete my study ?, even if i have the student Visa my parents are the one's financing my studies and on a student visa i am not allowed to work there, so i can't fend for myself.

Maybe your Indian boyfriend can help you? If I'm not mistaken you are allowed to work on campus 20 hours per week or something like that. I know it's not enough but it might help. Or go to Spain and make a life there. Maybe marry your Indian bf and have him Immigrate to Spain?

yes, don't do anything in India!!!!! as soon as you place your foot into U.S talk to immigration officer. ASk to be seperated from your people and let them know that you have been held against your will and force to marry with guy.

There are more options for women in your case as far as visa status. I have to give U.S goverment a credit that if it comes to human rights they are pretty helpful. You will get temporary help. Being a Spanish ciitizen is quite good. Spain embassy will be able to help you and you can always live and work in EU.

Stay strong and wait 'till you get out from India. Obey, smile and accept everything and wait 'till you get U.S. Ask immigration officer very calmly that you need his help because of this forcful situation.

Don't plan to stay in this for GC because things may get ugly after a while...

Good luck!
