I still think we'll all be out of AP like was the case last year.. by mid Oct. thats only 6 or so weeks away... have there been any updates when you call DoS.. They may not be able to say what happened on the date but they did tell us last week that the case was last worked on Tuesday... They must be doing something with your case...

Just got off of the phone with the CIL. Poor guy told me that the consulate sent an email to him saying visa was denied 221g that they need the police cert and medical. I had to explain it was the good news we were waiting for. The letter was sent on the 8th and she will be there with the documents next Tuesday. With luck she will be here early October.

Who's next?

Thanks Curtis,

Even though in some way I expected some result soon, hearing it was like reading off the numbers of a winning lotto ticket... its all still sinking in... I actually had to get him to fax a copy of it to me so I could read for myself and be sure there was no misunderstanding..he was dead set on the fact that it was bad news.. so wrong he was. Its pretty much the same letter that was sent to hang asking for updated medical with the addition that they lost the police cert. Now I know its all a done deal in the next few weeks... just a matter of $ and getting the docs and passport to them and a few trips back and forth from HaNoi to HCMC... sux that the tickets back and forth may cost more due to the 1000 year anniversary celebration going on in HaNoi next month... dont care at this point.. just so tired of being apart... it would be nice if the second medical was free since we paid for it to be done already...

Not making any additional plans until her visa is in hand..

Aug 31 Review by CO again... took over a week to get the letter sent with the results of the review end of Aug.. funny how things were happening at the end of the month..

Congratz Scott, it's about time!!! Just drop in in ChoRay early in the morning and most of the time they will let you do it. That's what Hang did. She just back to Hanoi to get another Police Cert., and will be ready by the end of September. We're still waiting for the complete Medical, hopefully by mid-October. I plan to fly back in November to bring her over if everything goes smoothly

You're almost there!!!

Well... Well...

They came to see my wife yesterday.

One CO, one outsourced translator, and an outsourced driver. They were there over an hour. Apparently, they had a bunch of cases to visit.

Let's hope they make a decision soon. I don't care about the result at this point; I just want a decision.
