HCMC Interview roll call

Thuy has a good friend getting married in HCMC this weekend so we decided for her to check with the consulate on Friday.. is she limited to the 1-2PM afternoon window hours or can she check with them before or after that hour? should she take the letter they sent her or does she need anything to ask them the status when she is there?

Duyen said the afternoon hours are from 1-3:30, Thuy needs her passport and blueslip. Shes checking on our case this week and will see about any morning hours. I'll post when I know.

Thanks... She was thinking 2 pm- and I was thinking 1-2 so I will get her to be there at 1 and that way she will be able to get it out of the way straightaway... hopefully we will both hear good news... The first flight from Hanoi does not leave until after 9 so the earliest she could be there is lunchtime anyway...

this whole ordeal is so unimagineable ...........

She does not have a blue slip as the last time she went, they took the blue and did not issue another.. only said verbally we will contact you.. they sent her a letter when they returned the evidence I submitted in Mar but she left it at her mothers house... should have no problem going to the window with her passport and the HCM#

This will be the first time we have been to the consulate since I went in over 4 months ago to submit additional evidence they ignored at the interview... Thuy will be there this afternoon and I expect them to say go home we will let you know... but who knows.. maybe they will tell us the same as they told Ronnie last month...

The Demand letter that I emailed them last month got a response today and that will 4 sure be my last email as they obviously dont read them and or only have those VN clerks handling correspondence... pure copy paste BS... So much so that the Congressional Liason is tired of hearing the same BS... nothing he can do other than a simple inquiry...

I wonder if he can ask why in the inquiry and get a legit response...

Oh man, sorry to hear that Scott..we tried going to the Window a couple times and were told to go home and wait. Then, I got out my passport and went in a couple times to get the CO to pull our files for another review...my Senator's inquiry was going nowhere too..they're not very helpful. I guess Feinstein is not up for re-election so she doesn't care much...should have contact Boxer instead.

ps: Hang has the sputum appt next week, we're looking at another 2-3 months for the results to come back. Our police cert. expired near the end of September, will be very close.

Well they just called me from the consulate. just before 11PM. I thought it was a loopy student calling way late with some problem... yep the call I have been waiting on for months... asked me so many questions... and after they got off the phone with me they called my ex-wife.. a few minutes later I get an email from the Ex asking me #######?. .. I'm not surprised they called her, but we were really civil when we divorced... not the case now....

I had just talked to Thuy less than an hour before they called, seems like they may have a few people calling.. they called Thuy.. over an hour of questions..just like the interview all over again... they also called her mother and talked with her son... as usual they lied about the pretense of the call...

We should get the letter in the next few weeks.. I will likely find out that they sent the letter when I call DoS to check the status at some point soon... The lady said she could not say how much longer, only that she had to give her worksheet to the American CO for processing... lasted almost a half an hour and I got many of the questions that she got at the interview... most straight from my timeline... some a few times over...

That was a pretty awkward situation now that I look back on it... a surprise call late at night when one is really tired, asking detailed questions about things that happened several years ago... no matter how much one is ready for that call... one can never be totally ready for it IMO... not that I'm complaining...

My mind was racing all night long after they called.. I feel like I have been awake for days and I think I actually slept like normal last night... those that got calls last year got them within days of each other... I hope you guys get done soon too.
