Please add yourself if you are currently in Administrative Processing "AP" (2nd blue slip).

The initial blue slip (*IF you don't get pink) at the initial interview date IS NOT the same as an AP Blue Slip you get when you submit additional information as indicated on the 1st blue slip from the initial interview. The date listed is the date the 2nd blue slip is received, not necessarily the date that was listed on the 1st blue slip (in case you submitted your requested documents early)

Sample AP Blue Slip:

http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/albums/...cture1_copy.jpg

Also to others about to go through the process and/or interview please do not fret so much. Just do the best one can is all that one can do. I had quite a few red flags and even had a few send me messages saying how I was going to be in AP and I screwed up something and I still got a pink and really in a decent time. Others have to so just because there are quite a few here in AP does not mean everyone will be in AP or even a majority.

We discuss this because we are trying to figure out the whys and therefores and to help others. It is good to discuss this stuff.

I waited 3 months...be patient, your turn is coming up! :)

Just keep emailing and tell your SO to visit the embassy if she can--i'd recommend once every two or three weeks...

Not the Visa...but we got a PINK SLIP!! :) He was told to come back on the 14th to pick up his passport with the visa in it.

Here's what happened:

At 12:30pm, he got to the embassy and had to queue up as they open at 1pm. There was a long line that extended out into the hot, bright sun. At 1pm, they started letting people in and he pulled a number and waited. Once inside and waiting, he started talking to a man that had a white slip and asked him what he was there for. The guy said that they had sent him that letter notifying him of the status. The guy with the white slip then said that it probably wasn't good news that my husband didn't have one, but then my husband told that guy that he had come by yesterday and the lady at the window told him to come back today with his passport. He then mentioned that he saw other people who came in behind him were being called up to the desks (but they were having their initial interview...) so he was about to get up to question why they were calling numbers out of order when his number came up. He went up to the window with his stub and the lady asked him why he was there (because he didn't have the results paper) and he explained to her that he had come by the day prior and the lady at the exterior window told him to come today between 1-2pm with his passport to exchange slips. She said "oh" and then processed his paperwork, gave him a pink slip, and told him to come back on the 14th to pick up his documents... :D

...I guess the white slip that people are referring to is most likely the paper they send via mail to the beneficiary once their paperwork is done. Since my husband went to the Embassy, they probably didn't have a chance to send it out...Just my guess...

Many Congrats and God bless y'all. I am so happy and can't wait to tell my wife that someone got a pink again.

I made several visits to the Consulate 9/30, 10/1, 10/2. Yesturday the Consulate called Dao to get a Blue Paper RFE for obtaining updated medical. The medical info expired at six months. We are hoping this is all they will need and a Visa will be issued. We are still in AP 10 months since January 17,2009. At this time I am holding my mouth shut.

Good luck to all

Fred

Good luck to all,

Fred

JohnCali update:

Just talked to John and the CO's are up to their old tricks once again. The CO just called him from VN posing as his ex-wifes sister looking for her. Asking questions as if they were still married. Asking why did he get divorced.. where is she living etc.

They called his fiance yesterday as well...

IMO this is a good sign... a sign that progress is being made in the case... Lets hope that next week will be pink for them!

Great news Linda!! Congrats!! I am going there Tuesday, had a 2 hour delay in USA because of typhoon in Tokyo, then got delayed again in Tokyo, Finally got out of the airport at about 2 am should have been out at about 11:30 pm. Visa on arrival worked like a charm again, wont do it any other way any more.

I have never heard of any CO calling and acting like they are someone else, if they did that and it got proved, I would almost guarantee they could be up poop creek without a paddle if you know what I mean. I would tell John to look into it and if he can prove that is what they are doing file a complaint. It is not only unethical, but more than not it is probably illegal as well.

There are several people on VJ that have posted about the same thing happening.. One very recently in Pakistan. All using the same tactic, mislead the person on the other end of the line to get them to sy something that will give cause to deny.
