My two responses were very similar, but the one that they responded to that Binh wrote was much different. I think it is bull, how can they say they are not going out of order when one from 14 months gets approved and another from 2? THey just tell us that to shut us up. I hope I can get in next tuesday and talk with them.

Jerome

two more days to go anh Jerome. Are you excited? shoottt, i'm excited for you. Have fun and don't eat anything you regret. I DID.

GREAT NEWS on the AP Front...

After much nagging, my husband finally went out to the Embassy to ask about the status of our petition on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 shortly after 2pm.

He went to the exterior window (Window B?) and they said that it appears that our cases has completed processing and she told him to bring his passport the following day, tomorrow, Wednesday 10/7/09 inside between 1pm-2pm to exchange slips.

We're not exactly sure what that means, but we're both VERY excited for tomorrow!! :)

I'll keep you updated!!

Goodluck and be persistent!!

Please add yourself if you are currently in Administrative Processing "AP" (2nd blue slip).

The initial blue slip (*IF you don't get pink) at the initial interview date IS NOT the same as an AP Blue Slip you get when you submit additional information as indicated on the 1st blue slip from the initial interview. The date listed is the date the 2nd blue slip is received, not necessarily the date that was listed on the 1st blue slip (in case you submitted your requested documents early)

Sample AP Blue Slip:

Also to others about to go through the process and/or interview please do not fret so much. Just do the best one can is all that one can do. I had quite a few red flags and even had a few send me messages saying how I was going to be in AP and I screwed up something and I still got a pink and really in a decent time. Others have to so just because there are quite a few here in AP does not mean everyone will be in AP or even a majority.

We discuss this because we are trying to figure out the whys and therefores and to help others. It is good to discuss this stuff.

Not the Visa...but we got a PINK SLIP!! :) He was told to come back on the 14th to pick up his passport with the visa in it.

Here's what happened:

At 12:30pm, he got to the embassy and had to queue up as they open at 1pm. There was a long line that extended out into the hot, bright sun. At 1pm, they started letting people in and he pulled a number and waited. Once inside and waiting, he started talking to a man that had a white slip and asked him what he was there for. The guy said that they had sent him that letter notifying him of the status. The guy with the white slip then said that it probably wasn't good news that my husband didn't have one, but then my husband told that guy that he had come by yesterday and the lady at the window told him to come back today with his passport. He then mentioned that he saw other people who came in behind him were being called up to the desks (but they were having their initial interview...) so he was about to get up to question why they were calling numbers out of order when his number came up. He went up to the window with his stub and the lady asked him why he was there (because he didn't have the results paper) and he explained to her that he had come by the day prior and the lady at the exterior window told him to come today between 1-2pm with his passport to exchange slips. She said "oh" and then processed his paperwork, gave him a pink slip, and told him to come back on the 14th to pick up his documents... :D

...I guess the white slip that people are referring to is most likely the paper they send via mail to the beneficiary once their paperwork is done. Since my husband went to the Embassy, they probably didn't have a chance to send it out...Just my guess...
