the only way that you might be able to get around that is to block certain people from seeing certain parts of your profile... which you can do under privacy settings.. you can customize who can see your posts under "posts by me"

but those persons won't be able to see anything you post on your profile

OMG, you're right... there's just no ways to change this, have to go on your profile and "remove" the info... so annoying!

I would suggest doing the "limited view" list... you set your profile up for certain people in such a way that they can only see certain bits of info, not Everything.

try this - copied and pasted from another user's profile

Privacy settings>Profile Information>Posts by Me>choose the "Only Me" setting and no one else can see what you're writing on other people's walls!!!!

might want to try that with Posts by Friends also

Charles those steps will prevent anyone from also seeing anything you post on your own wall- like status, links, etc (I just checked it out). They don't have the options like they used to, for picking what can show up on your wall easily regarding your activity on other profiles, etc. You'd just have remove things right away after you write on someone's wall or group's wall.

like i said, it doesnt work. i went after that i typed in a group wall and it showed on my profile.
