Hi guys. I've been lurking on here for a couple weeks now and am very impressed with the site's format and kind people that support each other. I finally decided to introduce myself!

My name is Jenn and my fiance's name is Yasir. We met in Yahoo chat in February last year. It's been almost a year and I can't believe how time has flown by! Yasir IM'd me and I could tell right away that this guy had a very interesting character. I felt his everflowing positive energy and love of life from the very beginning of the conversation. I was pretty leary at first because I'd met many jerks and incompatible people online over the years, but after we talked a few times, I started to warm up to him and discovered what a wonderful, funny, intelligent, witty, and kind man he is. And, it's truly an amazing blessing to finally meet a man who understands and truly cares about me. (L)

Fast forward 5 months later when we met in Dubai, UAE. Although we were only able to be with each other for 6 days, we had a wonderful time getting to know each other better.

We are a constant and a rock in each other's lives. We don't know what we'd do without the other's support and love. Meeting him has been the best thing that's ever happened to me and I know he feels the same.

Right now Yasir's going to apply for a tourist visa to see me, meet my family, and get to know the area I live in. We want to get married during the visit after this next one. Then, he will apply for a spouse or perhaps a student visa to move here.

There's so much more I could write, but honestly this process of writing about ourselves tends to stress me out a bit, so just want to end this by saying I look forward to getting to know everyone as we go on this journey together. :D

Nice to meet you Jenn my best wishes to the both of you. Please don't mind me saying this or let it get you down , but I feel you should know. That it MAY be difficult for Yasir to get a tourist visa , especially if he says during his interview that he has a girlfriend in USA , and that the both of you wish to marry. As they may look at it as he won't return. But I could be wrong as I don't know his situation. Anyhow ... Just wanted to let ya know , that you can look into all your options. And maybe sum1 that knows more about it, could give you sum info.

Anyway ... Again nice meeting you :star:

Welcome to VJ! :) I hope his tourist visa is approved! But I agree with Muhammad n Maryam , Pakistan isn't an easy country to go through for a tourist visa, but I do hope that things go just perfect for you! :)

I apologize - I didn't realize I never responded to the last few posts. Thank you for the welcome. I'm really loving this site and I don't feel so alone anymore. My fiance and I decided that we're going to meet in a 3rd country instead of applying for the visiting visa. Anyway, thanks again!
