all i know about pot is that people who have admitted to using it do NOT get visas into the US... they get bans instead. I think it's a stupid rule and marijuana has LOTS of legitimate medical uses that should be more widely recognised and applied, but I don't make the rules... so it's probably not a wise subject of discussion on a visa site unless you want to talk about how evil it is. (shrugs)

(what's really stupid about pot is the states where they've ruled that it's okay to use for medical use but it's still a crime to buy it, sell it, grow your own, or have possession of it in any form. I think they think the 'Pot Elves' will come along and provide it during the night!)

It may have violated TOS... Not sure. Isn't consumption/posession an illegal activity in most states?

In what bizarre world is *talking* about smoking marijuana illegal?

I think it probably has something to do with the TOS which required member to not promote any illegal activities. Big party poopers

Just because a drug is deemed useful medically doesn't warrant public use......as diamorphine proves....

Well I think it'd be great if Immi officers read this site...then they could see just how much this issue means to so many ppl who are not trying to defraud immigration.

As far as the pot thread, I think it asked legit questions, but its removal might protect the OP....dunno how immi officers could find out who people actually are, but I suppose erring on the side of caution is ok *shrug*
