thank you. i hope u all are right  i want to call DOS, but i am wondering if they would have the info in their system. i want to know if it is fbi name checks, or something more on the embassy level. like did they not have enough time to review because of the holidays? or are they reviewing since his last interview in november 2008? or what??

interview is over. they kept his passport. stated mandatory administrative processing. they do not need any more documents from us. they wondered why we had so many in the first place. didn't look at any additional documents other than the extra photos on top of the 150 originally submitted.

questions:

1. when did you get married

2. what is your wife's name

3. where did you meet?

4. why do you know longer work for the same company

5. why did you have such a small wedding

6. who are the people in the photographs

then he received the piece of paper stating we have retained your passport so we can issue your visa. you are under administrative processing and we will issue the visa once the processing is complete.

the officer is stating no more than 2 weeks. i am not a fool, i know this is just a blanket statement. besides name background checks, do you know what else they could be looking for?

thanks everyone for your well-wishes. we couldn't have gotten this far without you. glad there was not a 221g this time.

Hey Cuz,

Congrats and hopefully your hubby will get his visa soon and will be with you.

My parests had their interview last week and CO only asked 4 or 5 question to my dad and question to my MOM. Then he gave them a slip and told them they have to do some process. Once they finish will call home to submit thir passport. I am hoping they will finish this AP quick.

Once again Cuz happy for you and best of luck..

 YAYYYYY!!!!!!!! Hopefully the processing doesn't take too long. Congrats K! Go eat some chips to celebrate!!

 broke out the spicy nacho doritos this morning ;)

well, i just had him read verbatim what the paper said. it states "please bear with us as your case is going through mandatory admin processing. once the processing is completed, we will return your passport to u along with your visa". so yeah, it sounds like they just got behind on their work.
