Have any of you seen this before? I never noticed it till this evening. Consolidated Credit is advertising on regular English-language channels but the ads are in all Spanish. The only entirely-Spanish ads I've seen prior to this evening have been on Spanish channels.

Is this some kind of new trend?

Well.... Yeah, I've seen them too. I did think it was a bit unusual, but it's not something that bothers me......... Is it a new "trend" ? Don't know. You should call them up an ask!

ahh yeah, and why would this not be expected if you live in a market with a big enough Spanish speaking audience.

Is there some constitutional law which requires public schools to be taught in English?

Anyone know where I can get Pimsleur for spanish? (free of course)

I seriously need to brush up.

It doesn't bother me. I just thought it was new and strange.

Yeah, it makes sense  But it's new.

I was like "what channel is this?" I seriously thought that I had changed the channel by mistake.... But I guess not. It's a new trend. :P

For Black Friday, purchase my first new washer and dryer, Maytag commercial units for 60-65% off, couldn't turn that down even though my old machines are in excellent shape. Since I do my own maintenance, had to get the service manuals and get them while the machines are still fresh. Dryer was okay, first half of the manual was in English, second half was in Spanish. I like to scan these manuals in *.pdf format, makes finding a section a lot easier. But for some reason they split the pages in the washer manual vertically down the center with English on the left and Spanish on the right. My old manuals are in all English, kind of says how things have changed over the last 25 years. So with the washer manual, had to scan as twice as many pages.

Normally I would complain about this, but since my honey is a Spanish speaking person, kept my mouth shut, so I have changed as well. Was under the impression my wife was an introvert, but with all Spanish people around, she is quite the extrovert. Now she is becoming quite the extrovert in English as well. I like that, like a woman with fire that can carry on a decent conversation. But now she can do that in both languages.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
