Well it said the guy was a retired somebody, so its not really a surprise why he would have to guess.

Personally, I think the reporter should have waited till specific details were available from law enforcement... rather than depending on some expert just to get this half-assed story in print sooner.

I think your question is only of interest to you Natty.

Let me know when you have your answer.

Yeah but it wasn't a murder so the "newsworthiness" of the thing is kind of limited.

GH has no answer ... caliber wise ... or "where" the round originated .... even with google ....

GH is a total waste of human resources and is full of ####### .... and has zero firearms knowledge .....

typical GH response ...

do you also give out green stamps?

 I really don't know what to say to that.

Perhaps you should ask your wife to drive you to the ER - I think you may have given yourself a concussion when you fell in the bathroom and hit your head on the porcelain

 I don't know what I'm supposed to be "deflecting".

You have an insane (really insane) fixation on something that makes absolutely zero difference to the facts of the story.

Presumably wheeling out your gun "expertise" is the only way you can get one over on me. That kind of makes you the loser there.

But whatever

I seriously doubt AK-47 is the most popular gun downtown.

Of course I am talking out my Azz here (whats new) but that claim its self sounds looney.

Aren't we told over and over Handguns are the main cause of death in most cases?

Maybe the "expert" worked for Bandgunsnow.com ?

Kathryn, it is not semantics. You said you wanted firearms treated the same as cars. As with most people ignorant of the existing firearms and automobile laws you do not want any such thing. Now you say you want laws similar to Canada. This is not canada. You KNOW where Canada is. You chose to live here, we have a 2nd amendment, Canada does not. It does not matter if you like it. RIGHTS in the Constitution protect UNpopular things, popular things do not need protection.

The reason for concealed fireamrs is so YOU are protected even though you choose to do nothing to protect yourself, by the other people around you carrying concealed firearms. You're welcome, it is my pleasure to contribute to a more peaceful society, even of you do nothing in return. By far, most states issue concealed carry permits fairly easily. 41 states to be exact, 7 more states issue permits on a limited basis and only two, Illinois and Wisconsin, do not issue concealed carry permits. Most states are reciprocal, meaning a permit from Indiana is accepted in Pennsylvania and vice cersa. Which means it is a good bet you are surrounded by people carrying firearms everywhere you go. You do not know who they are. Neither do the criminals. It could be YOU or it could be the guy standing next to you in line at the grocery store. The criminal has to run that risk if he wants to victimize someone. THAT is the reason for concealed firearms. Thankfully your opinion on the matter is not important.
