I called again today to see what is going on with my case since I wasn't contacted by the local office yet and the IO said that my case has been assigned to an IO in Philadelphia who is reviewing my case and they usually respond within 5-6 business days which is good news! Hopefully they will contact me this week.

Nah.. this is just the lull period... think of it... nowadays we think of the average being 3 months for the AOS process. At 47 days you're half way through! The USCIS keep getting quicker and quicker! It's humbling to look at timelines from just a year or two ago and see how long the process was then. :)

Be thankful. :-) We will be through the AOS process before we know it, and we won't think of 3 months or 47 days as being long at all.

Yeah, I know I should be thankful and patient. It's just easier said than done. It would just be nice to be able to work.

I finally got an e-mail that they received our RFE response and our case has resumed processing! All in all, this probably has delayed things by a full month (RFE date 2/3/10 - case resumed 3/3/10), which is kind of frustrating. However, if this is the only hurdle we have in this process, I will be very happy. Now we keep waiting - we really want to get the EAD soon and hope to join everyone that has an interview appointment soon!

Congrats to everyone for the progress y'all have made!
