Hi! We sent everything out on 1/11 and got SMS and emails with the MCS numbers today! I guess that G-1115 thing works...

That's really good news!

Keep the updates going.

God bless us all.

Hi everyone,

Quick question: Is there any way to check the NOA date and file number before you receive the hard copy, so that you can track your info online? Thanks!

Tina

Hi! You can use the number that should be on the back of the check (if it already cashed). I think it's a general case number.

13 digits starting with 3 letters then 10 numbers (the last number should be 0):

MSCxxxxxxxxx0

Use the first 12 digits but change the 0 to:

1 = I-485

4 = I-765

5 = I-131

That's how I checked our case status before we got the NOA1 hard copies. :)

We just married on 01/09 and preparing to file AOS for Jan filers. We requested the certified copy of marriage certificate from county office and waiting to get it. Is there anyone knows how long it takes?

Any helps welcome!

It depends on your county and state. For us, we got our marriage certificate the day we requested it, and this was Indiana.

I guess there would have been another way to find out if your application has been accepted before receiving the NOA's...using the G-1145. I guess it's too late now :unsure:

I'm not sure how you request it in your county.

The day we got married, instead of letting the judge keep the marriage license, we took it a few blocks away to a courthouse where we bought a few certified copies. We left it with them for processing/filing.

Then a week or two later, we needed more certified copies, so we went to another courthouse & requested copies. They had the main courthouse fax them to them & gave it to me on the spot.

We didn't find out about the G-1145 until after we had already filed so we had to wait for the NOAs too :( I stumbled on the check thing by chance. LOL. The funny thing was that about 10 minutes after I tried the case number on the check, the mail came with all 3 NOAs. XD

Don't worry! Your NOA1 should come soon! ^___^

Ours took a few weeks because we live in Michigan but we got married in Las Vegas. We didn't try to bring it to the County Clerk / Recorder ourselves so we could get it on the same day ^__^;;

We sent on 1/11 with the G-1145 and I got SMS and email updates on 1/15 with the MSC case numbers... but they don't show up at USCIS.gov yet. They've already cashed my check though.....

It should show up in a few days - don't worry if it doesn't though. There are a lot of people who've had applications approved and their cases were never updated online. :)

It depends on your county and state. For us, we got our marriage certificate the day we requested it, and this was Indiana.

We are married at the Church, the priest sent the documents to county himself and we applied request form to county office with the check by mail. Ours is California service center. Once we got the certificate, I can apply the I-485, I-765, right?

Any helps welcome!

Thanks a lot.
