It does. I am now getting ready if ever my case wouldn't be sent to CSC. I am still waiting that it will be transferred one of these days though. :D

 Hopefully no more RFE for any of us so we can rest until 2012 or late next year before the ROC.

There is another filer with a notification that AAO returned the case. What's weird is that this was a January filer and the first notification was that the case was transferred to CSC on Feb. 9. I think it was probably put in error in the appeals pile and was accidentally sent to the AAO, rather than CSC. Here's the thread:

Hope this doesn't happen to the rest of us!

So I just have a question...I'm going to Montreal this weekend...I currently have an H1-B visa so I'm able to travel out of the country, but I just want to double check if there's anything extra I need to bring with me or anything, since my AOS is in progress???

Thanks for your help!

Hm, I thought once you start the AOS process, you can't leave the country.

Yes, you should be able travel out of the country if you have a H1-B visa and are still employed by the visa-sponsoring employer. I also have a H1-B visa, and last week I traveled out of the country and came back home without of a problem. Of course, I checked with my friend, who is an immigration attorney, who said I should be okay. I brought my recent paystub with me just in case the officer asks for proof of employment. Well, the officer just asked me if I'm still with the employer currently. And I said yes. But just being cautious, because everyone's case is different, you should consult with an attorney, or someone who is more familiar with the law. Good luck!

H1B visa holder

11/5/2009 - Married

12/31/2009 - Mailed the packet of I-130, I-485, I-765 thru usps's priority mail to Chicago lockbox

1/10/2010 - Received receipt confirmation

1/19/2010 - Received NOA for all three (dated 1/13/2010)

1/25/2010 - Received biometric letter (appt for 2/8/2010)

1/26/2010 - Completed biometric via early walk-in (New York City office)

1/28/2010 - Touched all three

3/6/2010 - Received NOA for interview (dated 3/1/2010)

3/9/2010 - Received an email update for EAD card in production (dated 3/8/2010)

4/7/2010 - Interview scheduled (New York City office)

Thanks!! I will double check with my employer's lawyer tomorrow...but I do know that on H1B I can travel...it's just reassuring to hear from someone who's done it without a problem :)

I'm sorry about that ^_^ but you are right, it would serve as an interview practice somehow. She wasn't so professional.

My husband thought she was full of ####### Honestly I wasn't intimidated but I find her comment (about not having my case approved if she was the immigration officer) very inappropriate. I don't think she is in the position to say that. Oh well.

Wow, that is quite the ordeal! Yesterday when I handed the officer my letter, and showed him my passport... he didn't say anything to me! Even though my passport is in my maiden name and my letter was in my married name. He didn't ask to see the marriage certificate or anything. I didn't get asked any questions either. Very strange.... but I guess you can't expect to get the same level of service everywhere!

For some reason, the name change issue is unique to Michigan and they are making a big deal out of it and trying to jerk us around. I can understand why Fatima felt so bad when she had her biometrics taken in the same office. What is strange though is that I didn't have the same problem when I applied for my SSN and State ID.

I hope so! I will have mine in Oakland, CA next Tuesday. I'm getting really excited and hope everything will be okay :)

you'll be fine Andrelle, the name change issue is unique to Michigan.

I think it was really inappropriate what she did.I don't think she had the right to tell you that since I am pretty sure she is not an immigration officer.

Some people are too bored and need something to do! Don't let her scare you! Be confident and I am sure that everything will be great at the interview if you need to go to one. Good luck!

I got an RFE notice email (for AOS) just a few minutes ago and I'm thinking what I could have missed out. Now I'm worried. Very worried.

Here is the outline of the documents I submitted for the AOS

B.1 Copy of Foreign Birth Certificate

B.2 Copy of Passport and Visa

B.3 Passport Style Colored Photographs (2)

B.4 Report of Medical Exam

B.5 Completed G-325A Form (4 copies)

B.6 Completed I-864 – Affidavit of Support

B.6.a Copies of Sponsor’s W-2 forms (3 years)

B.6.b Letter from Employer of Sponsor

I'm thinking it could be for 2009 W-2 forms. I only submitted 2006/07/08 since 09 was unavailable when we sent out the package. Ironically it was given to my husband a day after we had submitted it...

What else are possible reasons for RFE and if I got the email today, when should I expect the hardcopy???? Thanks

We just got married on 12/29 and are preparing our AOS paperwork. I'm glad to see a group for January AOS filers. Good luck everyone!

What kind of documents that you are submitting with you AOS application. Did he need to do another medical visit. I am not sure if your husband came on a k-1 visa.

I'm home sick! I feel so alone. Can't sleep my mind is wandering so much, thinking so much of things that I know very unrealistic as of now. My thoughts are wish i could wish i might!

I just ate english muffin toast spread with to much butter and blueberries its dripping as im taking every single bites.

Then went to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror while tears are falling so fast! Then after crying I cleaned my face and put too much night cream on my face like there's no more tomorrow!

I just had a great day but why oh why this flesh of mine! Silly thoughts of mine making things hard on me.

Blah blah blah tell me I'm not depress!
