My daughter and I are going in for our biometrics appointments this afternoon. I'll let you know how it goes!

Also, I just wanted to say... my lawyer called last week (we hired a lawyer to file our paperwork because my husband was still scarred from having filed his own divorce paperwork and the many many problems he encountered along the way). The lawyer said USCIS had contacted them and wanted our tax information (which we had already sent them). The lawyer said he had waited off on sending in the tax returns because my husband had a different last name when he filed and he didn't want to confuse them.... ANYWAY, point being - up until now USCIS had been sending both me and my lawyer duplicate forms of everything. But I didn't get an email about this RFE, my status hasn't changed online, nor have I recieved anything in the mail. I didn't ask, but could it be that someone from USCIS contacted my lawyer directly (by phone)? Not that it matters, but was just wondering.

Regarding the tax returns, that sounds like a RFE. Strange how you never got a notification. I wonder whether other people who hired lawyers got RFE notifications.

So I received in the mail the notice from USCIS saying they corrected my name. It was dated Feb. 5, so that touch on Feb. 5 was for the correction.

Nice to hear that Tina!!! The last time I called them they cannot confirm whether they got my letter or not but the operator said I should wait for a letter, probably something like what you got. I really hope so.

Actually, when they capitalize all the letters, it's correct. However, when it's written properly, it seems that they didn't capitalize in the right places, so in a sense, they still got it wrong!

I just did the biometrics this morning. It was wet, slushy and snowy here in central NJ but it was a pleasant experience overall. We got a good parking spot just about 50 feet from the office and there was no queue at the door. There were like 40 people ahead of me but the service was organized and efficient. The whole process took about an hour. I showed my expired passport and was not asked about it. Whew! Now another round of waiting begins........

Ours went really quickly! We got there 30 minutes early,found a parking spot right in front of the door, walked in to find there was only 1 person waiting in the whole place. They called my 11 year old daughter in to do hers right away. They made me sit down and fill out a form, but when I was done they took me right away too. The whole thing took MAYBE 10 minutes. We were out of there before my appointment was even scheduled! I came home to see there still haven't been any touches on my applications since the 3rd, so hopefully I will see one soon!

Congrats to successful biometric appointments!

So I called USCIS regarding the misspelling of my name (according to the letter that I got). The customer service rep that I got initially was going to put in a service request to change the error. However, since it has been less than 30 days since my last service request, the system wouldn't put it through. So she decided that I should call back March 5 (after 30 days). I then told her that if there was a chance that at least one or two of the applications were approved before March 5, the name would be wrong. So guess what she did? She escalated me to an actual immigration officer! This guy was able to tell me that the system has the correct info - it was only misspelled on the letter. So there are no worries now!

We got Biometric Appointment letter today in mail for i485 and i765. I live in mass so i thought it would be in boston but it is in Hartford for some reason. I'm not complaining but just wasn't expecting it to be in CT. Does anyone here know if Hartford, CT accepts walk in's?

Case processing has not resumed, no touches, nothing...

I don't know what is the proper course of action. It has been 13 days since the USPS confirmation that our RFE response has been delivered. Should I contact my congressman? Senators? I don't know what to do, this is so frustrating
