Yay! Congratulations!!! ^___^

haha, this is probably the only time I will ever be so happy to see a $1,010 check cash! XD

I think it might be because we filed the I-765 AND I-131 with the I-485. ^_^;;

I just signed up for email and mobile updates at the USCIS website.

I checked the status for our I-129F and it still hasn't been updated since the initial review stage (it's been almost 10 months since it was approved)...hopefully it'll be different with the I-485!

We sent our paperwork in this afternoon. Hoping for the best and no RFE for medical. I included a copy highlighted with the instructions that say K1 does not need additional medical.

Hi Menina! Welcome! ^_^

I did the same thing - though with a cover letter quoting the I-485 instructions and I-693 instructions regarding the validity of the overseas medical (additional medical not required, just the vaccination update)

Anybody include pictures and proof of living together in the AOS filing? just wondering

I was going to do that, but we really wanted to get things off, and since we just got married, I don't have a lot of wedding pictures to show. I decided that they are going to interview us whether we send extra stuff or not--seems like everyone in my area has been called for an interview. But maybe they will base it on how busy they are. Who knows?

I didn't either. I can't imagine they would expect newlyweds (for those filing from K1) to have a lot of that stuff so quickly.

But I did quickly update as many documents as possible with my new last name & his name (utilities bill, credit cards, bank accounts, lease, car insurance, etc), so that if we do have an interview, I'll have ample proof.

We didn't either. I read some posts that mentioned that those are things they'll ask for if you have an interview so it's better to just send what's required for the forms in the AOS packet.

My husband did the same thing - he's in the military so he registered me in DEERS, updated his life insurance policy, added me to his health and dental insurance, added me to his bank accounts, etc. I also have my military I.D./privilege card. If they do ask for pictures, we have the wedding pictures and official pictures from a military banquet that we went to last November. I don't think we have pictures from over the holidays but I'm sure my sister-in-law has some. I'll definitely have to start putting stuff together. I also saved all of the cards (Wedding/Congratulations, Christmas) that were addressed to both of us.

Guess I need to join in here.

We sent in our paperwork, for me and my son, the last week of December and according to my husband our check was cashed end of last week.

No NOA's yet.

Hi Peet! Welcome! ^_^

I'm sure your NOA1s will come in the mail soon!

Question about the I-693: (worried about possible RFE - been reading about a lot of cases getting RFEs because of the I-693)

Did you get a full medical done by a Civil Surgeon or just had the CS transcribe your vaccinations from the overseas medical?

We just got the vaccinations transcribed by the CS onto the I-693 and also included a copy of the DS3025 in the package incase they lost the one that comes in the "big brown envelope" you give the IOs at POE. If we get an RFE, we get an RFE...but we hope we don't!
