Yay! Congratulations on the NOA!

They're waiting to receive your RFE response before they resume processing of the I-765.

Getting an RFE on the I-485 means they suspend processing on any benefits related to it (in this case that includes the I-765 and I-131)

*whew! That's great! I'm so glad you finally got through the NCSC!

Thanks Fatima! I just didn't expect them to send me NOA for my EAD since I haven't send them a response to my RFE yet. But tomorrow I will have my I 693 completed hopefully. My TST is so itchy and its red :( I'm tempted to scratch it! I know that i don't have TB but if they will let me do an x-ray the CS office charge $50 and I don't want to spend that much anymore just for an x ray.

Regarding your TST, don't worry about it much unless it reaches 5mm. Mine was slightly itchy, had pinhead sized red bump. Meanwhile just apply cold compress.

Whatever you do, don't scratch it dear!!! I wore long sleeved shirts during those 2 days before the TST reading just to keep from touching or scratching it. It might make the induration bigger if you scratch. The CS was going to charge us $80 for the x-ray if the TST had turned out positive @_@

Depending on the size of the induration if present (not the redness ) they will decide if you have to do an x-ray. If the induration is more than 10 mm it's 100 % sure that they will do an x-ray. You have to do that because otherwise you will be inadmissible and you would need a waiver of inadmissibility.I think it is easier to have the X-ray done than to take the other route.Good luck with the test!

The CS we went to said that indurations less than 10mm are normally considered negative but for immigrants, especially those from countries with a high level of occurrence for TB, it's 4mm or less - indurations 5mm or larger require a chest x-ray. :(

Thanks everyone! The redness is a little bigger than a dime size. I'll find out tomorrow so I better stop worrying about it.

Classification of the Tuberculin Skin Test Reaction

An induration of 5 or more millimeters is considered positive in

-HIV-infected persons

-A recent contact of a person with TB disease

-Persons with fibrotic changes on chest radiograph consistent with prior TB

-Patients with organ transplants

-Persons who are immunosuppressed for other reasons (e.g., taking the equivalent of >15 mg/day of prednisone for 1 month or longer, taking TNF-a antagonists)

An induration of 10 or more millimeters is considered positive in

-Recent immigrants (< 5 years) from high-prevalence countries

-Injection drug users

-Residents and employees of high-risk congregate settings

-Mycobacteriology laboratory personnel

-Persons with clinical conditions that place them at high risk

-Children < 4 years of age

- Infants, children, and adolescents exposed to adults in high-risk categories

An induration of 15 or more millimeters is considered positive in any person, including persons with no known risk factors for TB. However, targeted skin testing programs should only be conducted among high-risk groups

This is from CDC.gov and that is how I learned in school.
