I have a question for all January AOS filers. Did you guys include the 2009 tax return for your husband/wife? I am planning on filing the AOS package in Feb and my husband hasn't yet filed his taxes. I was confused if not having the 2009 tax info will cause a problem.

Thanks in advance.

I read in other threads that the USCIS usually doesn't ask for the tax return until after April 15th (deadline for filing taxes). My husband just recently received his W-2 for 2009 so we're just about to file. We only sent his 2008, 2007 and 2006 tax returns with the AOS packet.

YEs, we did the same. I filed AOS even before receiving my W2s for 2009. There should be no problem with not sending it as most people have probably not even filed taxes yet this year.

All the best for you, victorious. Have you found a CS that offers a complete medical package for a reasonable amount?

@ skidivawannabe

Everything looks good!

(Can someone else check too - I don't have my checklist with me right now and I don't know the requirements for the I-130)

I can relate... We live just outside city limits and mail is usually delivered between 2pm to 5pm (more often than not, they deliver at 3 or 4pm). I have to stick to checking at around 4:30pm so I don't have to make multiple trips to the mailbox. Hopefully tomorrow's the day! :D

We just got our biometric appt on 2/19. Funny thing is that it's for a USCIS office I have never heard of which is only a couple miles from our house in Austin. Are walk-ins typically ok for biometrics? Does it make things go any faster if we do it earlier?

Congratulations for the latest news! :star:

I guess they do the biometrics in a support center, not in a major field office. I don't think it'll make any difference whether you have it early or just follow your appointment date.
