Yeah, the number on my check ended in 6, but the one in the mail ended in 7...I guess that's normal. Trust the hardcopy.

Hello!

The longest wait ever, I must say! :-)

I filed i-130,i-485,EAD and AP concurrently.

25 Jan 2010 - sent application packet via UPS overnight

26 Jan 2010 - application received by CHIBA - receptionist

How soon should I expect our receipt notices?

And I made a typographical error in the request for e-notification form - - I erroneously combined my mobile number with my husband's. Only noticed it after I reviewed the copy of the documents I sent. I'm wondering if there's a way I could correct this???? They will see the correct mobile number on the cover letter and forms.

You should receive your receipt notices within 30 days of mailing your application. If you don't get it by then, you can call the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283

Not sure about the e-notification form. :( Did you put your email address too? You should still get an email notification if you did :)

There is something weird about my MSC nr for AOS.I got a number ending in 4 on the back of the checks and I have been trying to check that nr online but the case didn't appear and today when I got the NOA I saw that my receipt nr for AOS is ending in 5.Did that happened to any of you or is just me?

Yup! I believe the MSC number on the back of the check is just a general case number. Mine ended in 0 but the number on the notice ended in 1. ^_^

* Note: I've updated the Spreadsheet today! I'll be out tonight (it's date night! :D) but will be sure to check in again first thing in the morning.

Hope everyone has a great Friday! ^___^

I won't feel comfortable until I get that receipt notice. I don't have a state ID yet and I don't think I can get one until I get the receipt notice (as per the lawyer). Worst is that I don't have a driving permit coz my driver's license just expired during my birthday. Hahaha. I'm pleasantly surprised how some cases seem to be moving quite fast...I've read on I-130/i-485 being processed in 97 days!!! Hopefully I'm (we're) one of the lucky ones.

I'm also hoping we don't get an RFE. I THINK I sent all the REQUIRED documents (proof of us citizenship: copy of passport and copy of birth cert or my husband), original "copy" of marriage certificate (I ordered 3 from the county records), official copy of my birth cert, medical exam, copies of w2's, copies of evidence showing co-mingling of finances (bank statement of joint bank account, credit card statement and copy of credit card showing I was made extension) and a few "extras" under 'other evidences" - - gym membership application, phone bills showing I am part of my husband's plan, copy of report of marriage from my country's consulate), copy or receipt for theatre tickets for a date, copy of IT of our vacations together, photographs...I'm sure there are more that I didn't mention.

Best of luck to everyone!

I'm seriously concerned about the number of RFEs that have been sent out. I read on another thread that it seems like there's an error with the USCIS online system. Hopefully it was an error and it was supposed to be a notification that they sent your biometrics appointment letter? Hopefully you'll get the notice in the mail soon so we'll know for sure! *HUGS*

I am getting concerned as well. What is the deal with this many RFEs? Is it just that the people opening the packages don't understand the requirements? Even in the K1 process there were only a handful of RFEs each month, although that seems to be increasing lately. For those that have received them, what are they about?

The RFEs are probably just for the biometrics appointment. I followed a thread similar to the one we have here when my wife was going through her naturalization. A lot of people in that thread received RFEs that turned out to be biometrics appointment. So guys relax, if you submitted all requirement then there's no need to worry.

My biometric appt is scheduled for 2/8/2010. But I just walked in to NYC office this morning, and completed fingerprints and photo for both I-765 and I-485. When I walked in around 8:50am, there were appx. 5 people. I was done by 9:10am, and by that time I saw appx 8 people waiting. They looked at my appointment letter, but didn't say anything. I just brought the appt letter and my passport. So quick! Hope this helps!

I'm in NYC, too. Did you go to the office near all the federal triangle downtown? Is it better to wait and do walk-in when you have the letter, or do you think we could go beforehand, with just passport and NOA's?

Thanks!

So today I received in the mail the RFE and its for my medical examination. I passed my I 693 for completion of my vaccination records. And what the ####### their looking for? I have it there.. Hello?? Then i look at my vaccination report from the Phils and the date they received my AOS in my NOA1. Its exactly one year from my medical examination in the PHils. Can't they just take it like that? Because I'm sure they received my AOS before the 6th since we paid more in UPS to get there early. Well can't blame them its clear that another medical if its already a year ago. Ahh Its just aggravating! I'm glad we only paid 20$ for the transcription from the CS. Now we need to call the CS in my area again. And see how much they charge. As I recall they start at 150$ to 400$. Lord have mercy!

I don't know if that's near your place though. Anyway, you can always give any CS a ring before going to their clinic to check what's the best medical exam package for you.

Sorry to hear about the RFE! I've heard that if you filed your AOS close to a year after you had your medical done, it could result in a RFE. That's why it was recommended that the medical be done close to a visa interview date. Hope this gets resolved soon!
