Hi January 2010 filers!

I mailed my packet (I-130, I-485, and I-765) on 12/31/2009, and received NOA on 1/19/2010 (dated 1/13/2010). My application process is slower than others, and it makes me little nervous, especially because my potential employer is waiting for me to receive EAD card asap. Hope everything goes smoothly without RFEs. Wish you all the same!

Hi! I just added you to the Spreadsheet!

It was probably just the holidays (New Year's) that delayed your NOA.

I'm getting rather worried because our case status hasn't been updated online since our check cashed but I'm trying not to worry. ^__^;;

Hope we get our biometrics appointment letters soon!

Just got the NOA's today! The only issue is that I have hyphens in my surname and first name and they don't show up. Hopefully it won't be an issue.

I don't believe it's a problem. My husband has a hyphen in his last name as well and on the 797s they didn't show up but on our change of address it does have him listed having a hyphen. Suppose it's just the way they print out? :)

Thank you!! ^___^ I'm really glad that I found VJ - at least I can talk to people who understand how hard and stressful this whole process is.

They say that touches just mean that your case was looked at (not necessarily updated - may have just changed hands) but it really depends on the adjudicator that handles each individual case - some of them don't bother to scan the barcode for each file so some don't get touches or have their online status changed while others do. Still, I wish all of them did - I'd feel so much better to see that "Last Updated" date change.

I'm so sorry to hear that... I really don't know how to go about situations like this. I just read your other post about how your husband told you to start looking for flights. The Affidavit of Support that he signed when you filed for AOS is binding - he is required by law to support you even if you do divorce! Worst case scenario, if you don't have money - he will have to provide for you.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Just keep on praying everything will be just fine for you. Hope you got everything done with your papers before you get divorce at least.

yeah right..our situation is getting worst. Kids been included because he accused me of telling something of his kids stuff yesterday. He emailed me many times swearing at me and threatening me. I been to church and a friend invited me to come over in her house and before I even ate dinner the kiosk started asking me where I was. As always, he told me many times even how many evidence I have "he never cheated" on me. Thats his favorite lines.

Keep whatever evidence you have. Does he physically abuse you? If he does, be sure to file a police report! It will be helpful with the immigration process - because you entered the marriage in good faith. Once you have your green card, you should still be able to file to remove conditions.

I have a question about updating online. We got our initial NOA1s via email on the 22nd of Jan. Our travel document and work auth. are already in initial review, but the AOS application still says acceptance phase. It also says it should be done with that stage within 2 days. Does it change like the others did once they review if for proper payment and signatures, or does this mean it is being sent back to us with RFE? It seems like we would not have received NOA1 if there was a problem with the initial review. Just wondering if anyone else got NOA1 without the status being changed. Our check HAS been cashed as well.
