Well I don't know how much the involvement of the congressman helped but I sent back the RFE doc with the exact same info I sent in the AOS + explanation that my wife was not born anywhere near Bangkok, not born in a hospital, and so there are no hospital records or computerized files and I got the "Welcome letter was mailed" update the day after they received it. I guess that means we were approved!

Just came back from my interview.

All went very smooth.

IO had barely any questions for us, he asked about previous marriages and children, asked my husband what happened to his previous marriage to which hubby responded with "divorce" and handed him the divorce decree. He kept it even though the copy was already in our file but it's a minor inconvenience.

Swore us in.

The he asked if we had a good faith marriage and were not trying to circumvent the immigration laws.

Then proceeded with the regular questions that are found on the form.

Fumbled a lot with his file, their folders it do not seem the most practicals, I saw my envelop there lol and the pictures sent in for my K1 application.

Got busy on his computer, printed stuff, stampled here and there then congratulated us!

He then gave us the letters and explained about removal of conditions and we were out :)

Woohoooooooooooooo

I-751 package sent : 03/30/2012

I-751 receipt date : 04/03/2012

The first email we received said basically card production had been ordered, then we received an email later yesterday as well. However it was worded different so was wondering if anyone else had this too... any thoughts on what is ADIT???

Just wanted to share a funny (sorta) story.

We received our 'Welcome to the US and your card is being produced' letter on Monday, which is just one page and the usual communication we get when there is a movement on the case. However, we had received 3 pages total. One was our approval noticed and then TWO other approval notices for people that also lived in New York but we had no idea who they were and they were not linked to our case.

So I called USCIS to let them know that they need to resend the notices because I got them by mistake. At first the agent didn't know what to do so she put me on hold and then when she came back wanted to take all my information and someone from USCIS would call me and tell me what to do. I told her I was just being a good Samaritan and passing on the message and I rather just send the two notices to the people they belonged instead of giving all this information. So that's what I did today...not sure why they have to make it so hard!?!

So in case you don't ever receive a notice from USCIS, it may be because they sent your approval notice to someone else!

Just waiting for the GC now and the those of you that haven't heard anything, you're in my thoughts.
