We just got back from the interview. Actually, we finished the interview around 10 am. We got there 9 am and they didn't wait for the 9:45 schedule. Our IO is an Asian lady. She just asked me those questions in the I-485 and other information I wrote there and asked me the documents I could show her regarding our marriage. We gave her the interspousal deed, health insurance, life insurance, and showed her 2 photo albums. She asked me 4 photos from our wedding. She said that's about it. I saw her taking my I-94 from the passport but she didn't get the EAD. She said they're going to review the papers again and I will just receive the green card in the mail. So I don't know if it's approved or not but I really hope so. After that, we had lunch and try to relax in the mall but I can't of course 'coz I don't know the results.

I guess we just have to wait and see...Anyway, good luck to all those who will have the interview soon!!!

Hi Everyone,

We had our interview today, everything went well and we were approved! The IO was very friendly to us, the interview took about 20mins and at the end I was given an approval letter and he explain when we should file for ROC. He also took my EAD and I-94, he then said to use the letter as proof(for employers) until the green card arrives in the mail.

I think we are one of the better groups on VJ and hopefully all of us would be able to get back into the group in 2012!!

Good luck to those of you who have upcoming interviews. Try to stay clam........oh one more thing if you submitted a well organize file from the beginning with lots of information, you may not be ask for too much supporting documentation photos, bills etc.. Congratulations to all those approved recently and those who finally passed the interview step!!

I am a bit worried myself cause we had our interview almost 2 weeks ago and were approved the same day, but we never received any emails or mail stating that... and there was no change on the online status of the application either(it still says Initial Review)....

On Monday we are moving and we did not do the change of address yet due to uncertainty of the new address, and the officer that was interviewing us said that anyway your card will be there during this 2 weeks that passed and if we change the address now could cause other issues... but it doesn't seem to be the case...

hi everybody !

first of all congrats to those who have received green cards!!!hopefully my interview will go nice too!

I have a question for u guys.we did not have a wedding reception out here but we had one back in my country (Turkey) we did not have the LEGAL marriage tho.(no court marriage in Turkey)we had the reception at a hotel and I wore a wedding dress.we have a lot of pictures from that party.my question is would it be ok to bring some of those pictures with me to the interview? or is it better not to bring any ? my concern is what if the officer who is going to interview us thinks that we had a legal marriage before I came here when he/she sees those pictures.like I said we did not have a court marriage in Turkey.I got my birth certificate AFTER the ceremony to bring here with me for I-485 application and on that paperwork it shows my marital status as single but I am hesitating to bring the pictures with me to the interview.they do not have any dates on them so I can't really prove that I got my birth certificate after the reception.(even though the birth certificate has the date on it)should I just leave them and take whatever we took after the court marriage ?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!

I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious...
