Hmmm...well, another touch today after the approval notice email stating it was sent April 8th was received yesterday. I wonder if that means that the green card was sent out only today? I was hoping to see the green card this weekend. I know that others have received the email and the green card in the same day, so here's to still hoping.

I got another touch today too! Tomorrow is still a mail day so hopefully we'll get our green cards then? :D

* I'll try to update the Spreadsheet tomorrow guys!

Notice Date 04/01, Postmark 04/02, Received 04/08

This is to notify you that your application for permanent residence has been approved. It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to permanent residence status in the United States.

Thank you! ^___^ I'm hoping the touch yesterday meant they mailed mine out too. ^_^ Gauging from the EAD card (2nd card production email 03/12, touched 03/15 - postmarked 03/15, received 03/17), maybe the green card will come in the mail tomorrow or Saturday at the earliest? I'm hoping there are no errors on it too - we talked to our IO about me just keeping my middle name (he said that most people from the Philippines opt to drop their middle name) and I remember he had to edit something on his computer. My welcome notice actually came with no middle name so I'm kind of worried. In any case, it's probably not a big deal like he said because the middle name isn't that important.

Thank you so much, Markie!!! :D

I got my approval notice through email saying we sent youa approval notice, does that mean they sent the travel permit

Passed the interview today with no approval letter! The officer said she could not give me the approval letter, becasue FBI hadn't finished the name check! Don't know what to say. Frastrated. Never heard anything like this. I am very clean, no crime or anything like that ever.

Hello Everyone,

We had our interview appointment today and here is how it went...

It was a very pleasant interview experience at the USCIS Detroit office. Our interview is set at 11:00AM and we arrived 30 minutes earlier. We went through security check with no problem and showed the guard my state ID and appointment letter. He directed us to the lounge area and told us to drop the appointment letter at Window 8. My name was called about 20 minutes later. Our IO is a middle-aged soft-spoken guy. As soon as we were in his office, he said that it looks like it’s a going to be a good day for us because our I-485 packet is well-organized and everything looks excellent. He said we just have to go through the interview as part of the process. He asked if there is anything else I want to give them that I have not included in my packet. I decided to give him copies of our joint bank account statement, our joint health insurance coverage, and the insurance policy of cars and real estate properties under both our names. I asked if he wants to see our pictures, and he said it would be nice to browse through them as we go through the interview, so I gave him 3 mini photo albums of our wedding and travels. I asked if he wants a few pictures to put in my file and he said it would help so I gave him about 3 or 4 of our wedding pictures. He asked for my passport and took out my I-94 then he went on asking the usual questions like my name, address, phone number, birthday, country of birth, my parents’ name, date of my last visit in the US, my husband’s name, his birthday, and those questions at the I-485 which I all answered “No”. Then he said again that it’s a good day and that everything is excellently done. He confirmed our date of marriage and just as he was about to explain the deal about the 2-year conditional green card, I told him we will have our church wedding in the Philippines next month. He then said that he will put a stamp on my passport so we won’t have any problem when we travel if I don’t get my green card by then. I have my advance parole with me but he did not ask about it so I did not mention it and just gave him back my passport. I figured, whatever it is that he is going to stamp on my passport will be helpful when we travel. He went out of the room for a while to put a stamp and seal on my passport and handed it back to me. It has my Alien number, a note that says “Adjusted CR 1 at Detroit”, and put his name on it as issuing officer. The stamp says “endorsement serving as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residency for one year “ with today’s date as issue date. I guess this means I am now considered a permanent resident for a year. The stamp also says “Employment Authorized valid until 10-11-2010” I guess this means I am authorized to work until October 11, 2010 even if I do not have EAD and/or green card yet. I thanked him for the stamp and told him I really appreciate it. He just smiled and said he just wants to make sure we won’t have any problem when we travel. He then went ahead explaining the 2-year conditional green card and gave me a post-it note indicating when I should file for the removal of condition (which is March 2012). He gave me a letter acknowledging that we made a visit in the USCIS office and indicating the name and number of the Supervisory Adjudications Officer we can contact should we have any problem. And then he just said that was it, shook our hands and wished us a good day. It was a really pleasant experience. Thank God we had a very nice IO. I really appreciated that he put a special stamp on my passport.

Thank you all for journeying with me in this process. Congratulations to those who have had their interviews also and to those who have their green cards already. Good luck to the rest of you who will have your interview.

Congrats on recent interview approvals!

I'm just surprised that USCIS has stopped working on the transfers. It seems they've recently been on a slump!
