We just received our second email about card production for the green card. If it is anything like EAD, we should have the card this week! Yeah!

I have to agree with what the other posters are saying on here that you must have AP before leaving the country, and it would appear that biometrics are necessary for AP. The link that you posted says that the option of getting AP without biometrics is for refugees. Does your wife fall into that category? It also says that the option is not a guarantee but that it is up to the individual agencies overseas. In addition the instructions for AOS state that you should not leave the country before receiving your AP. Was there a compellign reason for your wife to leave? APs are being approved pretty quickly right now. I am confused by your situation and why she decided to leave now. The best thing you can do is get a lawyer right away or else you will probably have to refile for a spouse visa before she can return to the US.

I guess everybody was wrong cause I went to immigration and the supervisor said directly to me, that fingerprints aren't required for advance parole. They sent a notice about her photos, so we resent them. He said they should approve them, So here is your answer.

Yes, I believe you are right.

I went for an infopass appointment this morning in Fresno. The man there was very nice. He took a look and said that everything was in order, but he thinks that because my interview is coming up so fast they have pushed my EAD to the side and are not going to go forward with it. He said he would send them an email to see if it could be pushed along...

But he said my best bet was to make a case to the IO, let them know the situation, and ask if they could a) approve my EAD that day or b) stamp my passport with the temporary I-551. He said the IO has the ability to do both of those things, but it's really up to them whether they decide to do either (or do anything at all). SOOOoo I guess I will wait to see if I get an approval today or tomorrow... otherwise, it'll be all up to the IO. FUN!

Good Grief! Have you talked more to your job opportunity about the EAD situation? You seemed so excited about it and I hope it works out for you to be able to accept the position. Please keep us posted!

I brought in my past three year W2s and a full copy of my most previous tax return. I made a copy of the I-864 i submitted and brought that. I also brought the most recent pay stubs for the past 2 months. Our interview officer never asked to see those documents and instead reviewed the i-864 that I had submitted and counted to verify i submitted the correct paystubs in the application.

Good luck at your interview!

I went to the immigration office they told me that for advance parole that is not fingerprints required so i should be gettin a approval letter and i had to resent the photos

That's terrific. You mention that in your previous post. I don't know why you quoted me as it had nothing to do with AP or fingerprints.

Well, that's good news. Once you get the AP in the mail, will you be sending it to your wife or meeting her at the border? Also, just wondering if you were able to reschedule your biometrics so the rest of your case can be processed. Good luck to you!
